I think they taste enough of the power to be wary of being too reckless. Most opponents seem to get completely discouraged as much as anything else. Thats so true. Anyone could give you the blueprint to beat the Klitschos but enough fighters have failed to tell me that its easier said than done.
yeah tbh i sit there sometimes watching them wondering how you try get inside and work. The fights in Germany always seem at a sedate pace....there brilliant at what they do. Although it's not something i enjoy....
Yep, the guys today don't have the physical skills to beat the Klitschos but I don't think, on the most part, its due to not knowing what they need to TRY to do. Go for it Mand!!:happy
I think a big part of the problem, as well as the power that Gaz mentions that discourages people from trying to get too fancy, is the fact they are actually two of the best athletes in the division as well. So when they've actually got the height, reach, power, boxing ability AND athleticism over a smaller man you really don't have much of a prayer. It's not like they're two cumbersome oafs lumbering around. Well, Vitali's a bit awkward but it works for him by being so awkward, but Wladimir especially is a serious athlete. Good on his feet, fast, co-ordinated. So we can't even really say that the smaller man has the speed and the mobility over them which is a serious issue. Unless a 220-230lber with some serious athleticism, know how in terms of getting inside and power comes along, we'll be waiting a while for a loss. Or on the other hand, they can be beaten by a great fighter their own size.
Must be fun being Wlad I tell ya. He has some of the easiest nights work in boxing for the money he earns. No disrespect to him, he makes it easy. But it must be nice to know you are good enough, and your opponent bad enough, that all you have to do is stick a jab in his face for 7 rounds to soften him up and then let the right hand go to close the show. Never takes a punch, hardly even blocks a punch.
Yeah it's true when you look at it like that. It's never like he even goes through gears, just ups it towards the finish. Both of them are sadistic...i'm pretty sure they like carrying guys 5 more rounds then needed. They seem to enjoy it. It's like a computer game on easy mode.
A computer game is a pretty good description. Not Fight Night mind, with the button mashing anti-sweetscience ****s that play that game every fight is fight of the century. It's more like a Boxing Simulator. How many punches has he had to take in his last 5 fights? Could probably count the clean ones on your hands. Easy, easy work for him but he earns that right by the improvements he's made over the years and the fact he seems to be in perfect shape without fail.
Not many mate, Wlad doesn't do clean punches and at the end of the day no matter what people say Boxing is about hitting and not getting hit so he has my respect for sure. It says a lot when were all sitting here thinking of best way to break him down and beat him. Considering he was a wreck 7 years ago. And it's definatly not Fight Night....****ing game doesn't respect the sweet science. 5 knockdowns per fight and you can outbox your opponent and lose everyround cos he lands a bomb...poxy game
I'm going to watch Froch Kessler again. I thought he ran out of steam late because his routine and psycological preperation was disrupted, which I gather is very important to Froch. I thought it was a mental thing but the body shots make perfect sense. They really didn't register with me at the time or since. Shows you can watch a fight and not really see it at all.
Yeah he dug a lot of straight shots into Froch early doors and they weren't 6's and 7' it was 2 or 3 nasty hard shots.
