Let me explain my situation. I grew up as a super skinny kid. I was always called super skinny by my family members and friends growing up. I was able to eat whatever i want and not gain a pound due to my initally superfast metabolism.(although i did not have much of an appetite) Granted I hated it and I decided to lift weights to gain some muscle. I eventually became obssesed with fitness and nutrition and bodybuilding and i went from 15 yrs old 5'7 133-136 to about 18 yrs old 5'7 162 lbs with minimal fat(some gained of course) I was much bigger, stronger and happier with myself until i fell in love with boxing. Now this is my new obsession and as much as i loved the attention, compliments and boost of self esteem of being muscular, i am willing to give all that up to be the best i can as a boxer. So i decided" Hey, i actually gotta force myself to eat to maintain this muscle weight and supplement it with heavy lifting, so all i gotta do to get a boxers bodyweight for my height is not lift and eat on instinct" I figured it would be easy since nature intended me to be an ectomorph(skinny) with a fast metabolism. However I think i "changed" my natural body type with a result of my bodybuilding habits that i did for a few years. Before i would do anything, eat anything and lift anything in hopes of gaining some weight for my hardgainer body and now i cannot get rid of my muscles. I have not lifted since the summer 07 when i started boxing and i still have a full muscular chest and arms. And i have this insane appetite lately that ill eat a full bowl of pasta with chicken, 2 bowls of cereal, a large fruit, and im asking for more, when 3 years ago i was hungry literally once a day and i would be good with a pbj. So my question is, is it possible im stuck as a mesomorph, though i was clearly born as an ectomorph. And if i have changed, is there anything i can do to change myself back lol, and i dont mean by dieting and exercising (not that i dont already do it)myself to my previous weight, i mean being full strong, and healthy without thinking about food at a lighter weight?
btw i wanna be 141. im like 154 right now. id like to be 132 but im trying to be realistic one step at a time lol.
Have some gene therapy if you can afford it. You have to work with your body because it will always end up winning if you do something that it does not want. You can "trick" it in the short term, but that is about it. So, unless you have a lot of money just accept it.
Firstly, you can't change body types. Second, I don't see the problem with having some muscle? If you're really set on losing the muscle for some reason it's easy to lose, eat less and do long distance running.
The problem with having "some muscle" is that at 5'7 and 162, he's a middleweight, and a very small middleweight at that. 5'7 is much more common at 141, and taller for 132.
problem with muscle is that its heavy and that bumps me up weight classes, which I don't want. Not to mention ive developed type II fibers, not endurance ones. And about the long distance running, i would like to lose it permanently, not just temporarily deflate it or de-carb it so it looks flat and as soon as i slip up on my diet, my muscles refill and get big again, which is usually what happens.
I wouldnt worry about it too much. Dont forget you are going to grow and gain weight and muscle naturally from the ages of 15 to 18 anyways. So with all that working out while you are in growth years, you did change your baseline body like you mentioned. I dont think you can expect to weigh the same at 18 going on 19 as you did when you were 15.
its in the diet less protein less lean muscle long distance running and massive training sessions with no weights got me from 168 to 118 n im 5'8 in my profile pick im 125 so you can imagine i looked dead
