Anglo- could you recommend a program for upper body only?

all needs to be sat down i've torn ACL and cartilage, never really lifted weights except during circuits.

Have you tried google? Anglo has had good results from his training, but he doesn't seem to really have a clue what he's talking about when it comes down to it.

«waits for highly defensive, angry, insulting responce»

It depends on your goals really. The most important thing is how hard you train not really the program unless you're training for something specific.

Of course people say I don't have a clue what I am talking about, but at the end of the day I am the one who achieved the results by doing what I say.

I would say light weights high reps slowly increasing the weight and dropping the reps. You want to take it easy for a while as you're a novice, don't let other gym users lifting twice/three times as much as you discourage you, use them as motivation to be where they are in time.

I stand by my 2 muscle groups and 3 day rest for that muscle group theory.

Say day 1 is chest and traps, so do your benches, flys, cables, shrugs etc, 45mins, done. day 2 Back and biceps, day 3 shoulders and triceps, then a leg day is good, a rest and repeat.

After a month you can start altering things a bit, but focus on your body adapting to training it's never done, control your diet , get the basics then look to advance and change things up.

    Good luck!

Right now I am keeping it hush as I am changing to Version 3 of James Castle. I intend to completely change bodyshape again as dramatically as I did last time.

Version 1 and version 2 are here:

Version 3 in a few months, I will bulk and then lean up to reveal, I will take pics along the way but not show until I am done.

The more often you stimulate a muscle = more hypertrophy.
