It says you can lose 1 inch in 60 seconds. It't the #1 fat loss secret. I'm buying all of it. Who's with me?!:thumbsup
I'm more interested in gaining inches, if you know what I mean... :hey (I'm talking about enlarging my *****)
Sure, but you would have to do it under the supervision of someone who seriously knew their ish. Someone who could teach you explosive multi-muscle compound lifting and keep you tossing plates at a rate that built anerobic/aerobic capacity. 99% of us here are just Joe's with a Boxing membership/hobbyists/amateurs holding down a 9-5 who never plan to go pro so... We ain't got "That Dude/Dudette". Honestly though? I really don't see any reason to lift. If you can't do callisthenics into infinity, and I know guys who can, what is the point? How many non weighted squats can a guy do? 500? How many pushups can a guy do? 100? In almost every case? A guy who can do a monster amount of callisthenics will run circles around the guy training with weights. All day. Every day. Problem is that if you reason that weights (that fancy ish not barbells/kettlebells), TRX, stability balls, or whatever other flavor of the month is fluff and a guy only needs a pullup/dip bar, a pair of running shoes, and a run route? A whole lot of people won't be making a buck. :conf
Lifting heavy weights increases strength. Power = strength/speed. If you dont have a lot of strength then you wont have any power. If you want to improve your power then you need to be stronger.
my point is the guy said power=strength/speed....that is wrong, right? im not saying anything about your post. even in my reply i said it was a good post and it still is.
No that's correct. Technically speaking it's not the exact definition of the word power but it's essentially the same thing. Strength is the product of the force equation and speed is basically the same as velocity.
Very well played sir!:good I initially was going to type something similar. Now back to if E=mc2 if water is still H2O, and what the true equation for power is. Very important stuff. On another note, I'm thinking of starting a new thread that does not seem to be discussed yet on this forum. I'm wondering if "weight training is important to boxers?" What do you folks think?:tired
