Similar attacking machines, about the same height. Well known for their body punching abilities.

I wonder who wins this match up and who gets a worse taste of his own medicine. I Like hatton, but this is Cotto's territory. Cotto by 6th round KO to the body

At 147, six rounds is about right.

At 140 I would have favoured Hatton, actually.

Depends on what weight the fight is at, 140 hatton would give cotto a beatdown, 147 i would have cotto as favourite at the moment anyway.

at 140 cotto would not get a 'beatdown' cotto used to box more at 40 where at 147 he pressures non stop.

He boxed more because of his stamina issues. He was fighting the weight every time - taking Hatton's pressure into account, I think Hatton would be favourite at 140.

With these two it's all about the weights. Both wrecking machines, both very aggressive. Come in too heavy or too drained and you will lose.

Ricky will be at around 140 when he fight PBF - dont think it'll make much difference if the fight was at light welter or welter.

    cotto at either for me.

Urango hurt Hatton with a bodyshot in the 5th round of their fight and he's nowhere near the body puncher Cotto is.

They are actually expecting him to come in at around 155, 153 on the night.

at 147lbs its 50/50, a really good fight that I wanna see happen. Dont overrate Cotto, I'm not even sure he'll beat Mosley, and Hatton is definitely a bigger test than ol' man mosley.

best bodypuncher? In terms of power, Cotto, in terms of technique, Hatton. Very close.

You posters make me ****ing laugh. You really think there is that much of a diffrence in 7lbs?!?! Cotto moved up from 140 because he couldnt make weight anymore. As long as all things are equal be it at 140 or 47 a healthy Cotto batters Hatton into submission inside of 7 rounds.Hatton doesnt have the power nor the strength to stop a relentless beast like Cotto.Get real folks!!

Cotto is a supremo body puncher cause he sits down well with his powerful punches, if he doesn't catch you up right there, he is to win anyway cause there's a saying in boxing that if you land about 50% of you power-punches ( body punches) you gonna win the fight. Hatton is a pressure/energy fighter that due to his height, moves well to the inside with fast feints and hooks, and then works extremelly well there, making it an extremelly hard fight for anyone until he draws all the energy from you.
I think this is the perfect brawl with Ricky making his superior accelerations the factor to steal it.

This would be an awesome fight. It'll be interesting to see what happens to Hatton after the Floyd fight win or loose. I'd like for him to stick around at 147 although I think he'll go back down to 140 for at least a few fights.

No way does Cotto go back down to 140. He couldn't do it even if he wanted.
