your saying cotto beats hatton 100/100, and yet hatton is unbeaten and has a better record than cotto, but your saying hatton is overated? lol

cotto is good but hasn't got a koysta on his record yet.

Hatton's pre-zoo fights aren't worth too much, but he did beat Kostya. Cotto has fought a better standard of consistent competition, but he hasn't beat a true elite like Zoo. Therefore their records are comparable but Hatton nudges it because of Kostya.

Great fighters are judged on their biggest wins/losses, not the ones in between.

For godsake that line is so fukinng lame! That fight was 2 years. He fought an beat an old Kostya.Great result but BIG DEAL! No one points to Chavez on DLH`s record and says "well he hasnt beaten a guy like Chavez yet".Why must Hatton fans see everything in absolutes?! Its as if your all stupid?! Of course Hatton has a better record! Cotto turned pro in 2000.But you compare them at the same stage of there careers in terms of fights and its as clear as day Cotto is the better fighter.Either way styles make fights here. This would be a war.Hatton would give a great account for himself no doubt but he gets KO`ed inside of 6 rounds.Cotto is too polished and too strong.

comparing their records at the same stage of there careers doesn't show cotto is a better fighter, it just shows hatton was protected under warren.

and you can only judge a fighter by his competition and hattons is better. cotto is yet to fight a p4p top 10 fighter

saying he would be ko'd inside 6 is a joke

Sometimes you can learn more from comparing the men, not the records. Hatton is obviously strong and a good pressure fighter, but man, Cotto is an absolute beast.

Hatton wouldn't be able to just swarm him without eating some serious leather and taking a lot of those hard body shots. I like Hatton, but until someone proves otherwise, Cotto is a whole other level.

and don't you think cotto would eat some serious leather too and take a lot of hard body shots?

hatton has proved otherwise, it's cotto who's untested at the elite level. saturday will answer a lot of questions.

And Hatton didnt have any other option right? Thats why he left Warren right? Hatton had a ton of options when he was the then WBU champ. Witter was offered to him, as well as Sharmba (pre Kostya beatings) and he was Corleys mandatory. He turned these down and made easy defences of his "world title" for easy chump change at the M.E.N. Thats business acumen right there nothing more or less. How on earth on the basis of one fight say Hattons comp is better than Cotto`s il never know. Now thats a joke.

If you did a graph of Cotto's and Hatton's competition then Cotto would have more mid range spikes it it but Hatton's would have the highest spike. It is not a joke to say his resume is better because of that. It is a difference of opinion between the merits of having a single big spike as opposed to more numerous smaller spikes (to continue the graph analogy).

Agreed. But overall when you look at Cotto`s in my opinion its better. As at least Cotto fought recognised names.Hatton fought a large list of who`s who`s club fighters and tin cans.
