anyone know any good bodyweight strength training movements, so far i have handstand push ups one handed push ups one legged squats glute ham raises one handed hindu/divebomber push ups one handed pull ups (cant do that yet!) any more?
lol. normal divebombers are pretty tough. one handed hindus seem pretty hard, in terms of the motion. I think you got them all though. for some, pull ups and dips may work this attribute. one arm pull ups are so hard. if you can't do them, hold onto your forearm with your other hand and you will be able to (underhanded). that's a good way to start. I guess one handed hand stand push ups would be the hardest.
i include normal divebombers in my conditioning, i can pull off about 50 or 60 of them. the reason i ask for bodyweight strength training movements is because i wont have access to a gym soon, and at home my weights are outside and its too cold.
well, that's pretty impressive. you won't have access to a gym, as in a boxing gym or weightroom? it won't matter if you don't lift for a few months....just get creative with bodyweight ****.
weight room, its ok though, a couple of months ago i went 2 months without lifting, just worked strength with bodyweights and i improved a few pounds in some lifts.
i never got too fancy, but here are some of the ones I have done off the top of my head: elevated pushups, knuckle pushups, standard pushups, diamond pushups, wide pushups, hindu pushups, hindu squats, lunges, calf raises, stepups, burpees, standard situps, crunches, bicycle crunches, pullups - palms facing away, chinups - palms facing towards you, and mixups - one hand away, one hand facing, pull with the hand facing.
I do my push-up like this, and it work real well your upper pecs, traps shoulders. [YT]Vi6P35rFvKY[/YT] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vi6P35rFvKY
you just gave me a bunch of movements for endurance, there is nothing wrong with them but its not what i am looking for.
