Yeh but just as many of us would watch him fight Vitali.

So again, how on earth does he earn more money fighting Chisora, than he does the WBC Heavyweight Champion of the World?

I'll tell you how - He received a crappy financial offer to fight Vitali.

Haye declined the Sept. 15 date. No more to it than that. If Vitali is elected Haye has nothing to do with that so he is not retiring Vitali.

Oct/Nov 2011:

It appeared that Haye would stick to his promise after it was announced on Tuesday morning that he had handed in his licence to the British Boxing Board of Control.

But Bernd Boente, promoter of the Klitschko brothers, insists a bout between Haye and WBC champion Vitali remains on course for a lucrative fight night in February or March.
'If the business case is realistic for both fighters - 100 per cent,' Boente told Sky Sports News, when asked what the chances are of the mooted fight taking place.

Jan 2012:

Early talks have taken place, however Haye’s trainer and manager Adam Booth said: ‘It's in their hands.
'As far as I am concerned all the points have been agreed verbally, but subsequently Vitali came out and said the fight was 'miles away' from being made.
'I don't understand why he would say that. Maybe they are just using David's name just to get some publicity.'
'Until they send the contract and until it is signed, I will try not to waste too much time on it because you have to remember, I have negotiated with them four times now and there has only been one fight.'

If Vitali wins election, he retires. Simple as that. Haye had two chances and passed on both. No reason to believe Haye would take the fight even if Vitali didn't retire. Haye is not a man of his word by any stretch of the imagination.

Haye pulled out of one siting a back injury at the last minute. I never questioned his lack of spine. One Hay pulled out to fight Valuev. One Hay pulled out to fight Chisora. That would be three.

Haye fight against Wlad, the stronger brother (more speed, more power) so Haye has no problem taken the older one.
