    Damn, I am SICK TO DEATH of wimpy refs who call fights early. In my day, they let fights go to their natural conclusion. Abell hadn't even been knocked down, yet this ref calls it off. WTF!!

    And modern day squeamish boxing fans cheer this ****!!:patsch In my day, fans would rightfully be bitching about how they were deprived of a clear finish!

    That isn't for some two bit ref or you to decide. The guy was in a fight and he had been winning the round until he was hit. He deserved to have a chance to continue if he could.

    And it should have been allowed to happen!!!!!! That's the whole point of this thread! Fights should go to their NATURAL conclusions, not be stopped prematurely by squeamish refs!

    The stoppage wasn't THAT bad. Maybe a bit early but it didn't change anything except for that journeyman's health.
