Man i was just thinking this past weekend and started to to realize thats although bojado was one of my favourite from the 2000 class he real jipped his fans.

im mean had he stayed focused and not lost or even continued to come back strong we could of got another great installment int the PR vs MExico rivalry. but this fat basted couldn't put the abondiga's or taco's down so we got jipped .

man what a waste of talent. and he was extreamly fan friendly .

till this day soem of my friends that i got intrested in boxing as about him :-(

any one else feel the same way.?

Hard to believe that Bojado and Cotto used to be constantly mentioned as future opponents with the winner still in doubt then!

a lot of people thought that him and cotto would come up and become superstars at teh same time. they were suppose to be the next chavez/camacho except cotto is chavez and bojado being camacho.

bojado beat cotto once as amateurs, but i believe cotto bested him twice. so they had a little rivalry going. it's too bad for bojado though. he looked like he had some great tools, but lacked the mental fortitude, much like judah, but worse.

I run into his brother from time to time here at amatuer shows. He always says his brother is training and going to fight again, and he never does.

In the year 2000, I was telling every person that I knew about this guy, he has me looking foolish now.

Words can't describe how wrong I was about Panchito Bojado. I expected him to have the best career of the 2000 class...better than Cotto's too. Most disappointing prospect since Mark Breland, although Breland was more hyped up (as a combination of Hearns and Leonard) and ended up having a very respectable professional career.

i read in some cotto interview where he said him and bojado were real cool with each other and even traveled together when they competed in the same amateur tournaments.

I suppose the good thing is the last 2 fights he lost wasnt by much. So there may be a bit of fight left in him yet.

don't know if you ever saw him but he had the buzz.

i remeber when he lost his first fight the anouncer on showtime saying even ALexis arreguelo lost in his first 10 pro fights . they didn't even care that he lost they still had hope and when he avenged the loss man it was like the first one had never happened. man i had high hope for him and even bought in to the whole thing the anouncer said boy was i wrong the guy just didn't have the desire . he had the talent but not the disipline:-(
