Bonavena V Marciano ?

    If Rocky who struggled with Lastarza instead faced Bonavena ,Who dropped Frazier twice ?

    Marciano by late stoppage. Bonavena had more one punch power, but lacked Marciano's discipline and adaptability and would get worn down in the later rounds. Bonavena really could've been a great fighter, but unfortunately he was uncoachable.

    Wait, Marciano of the first LaStarza fight or the second LaStarza fight?

    Because he didn't exactly "struggle" with LaStarza in the second fight

    This but I disagree that Bonavena has more 1 punch power

    Perhaps a better chin (still wouldn't go that far) at best. Otherwise Bonavena is outclassed

    They both shared the same trainers and all agreed Marciano was better buttt they did say Ringo had more one punch power but lacked the discipline to go to the next level. Marciano by MD

    First fight ,so we can assume that Rocks still in learning stages ,as was Frazier when he was kd by Oscar.

    This kind of changes it up for me. Marciano first LaStarza fight was still learning the fight game. He didn’t have nearly Joes amateur experience. They even gave Rocky couple easier fights to fine tune his style after. Marciano could lose that one by points but there isn’t any footage of how he looked till I think Layne and he looked raw then but still got it done rather easily.

    Yep ,i get that.In fact this could have derailed Rockys path to the title.Oscar the big hitting ,durable guy with more experiance to .Would have being an hard fight for Marciano ,he may have found himself on the deck even .
    And the Lastarza ft was for 10 round s ,so that could factor in ..

    Frazier having his 22nd fight was matched tough against Oscar, who was having his 24th. Oscar had lost just 2 fights ,1 a DSQ back home and the other a decision to Zora Folley in a fight he wasnt ready for.He had beaten ,Wipperman ,McNeeley ,Peralta,and ,in his last fight Chuvalo.
    In his 22nd fight Marciano faced Joe Dominic 18-10-0.
    It would have been interesting to see that Bonavena against that Rocky.

    Marciano by KO! He would be the 1st to put him down I remember watching a couple of Ghost investigation shows, Ghost hutners and advantures, about the Famous Mustang Ranch of Prostitution where Bonavena hung out at the end of his life and career where he was killed, both claimed the Ghost of Oscar was still there., LOL!

    No you can't. Marciano was ranked no6 with 25 fights under his belt when he fought Lastarza. Bonavena had 23 fights when he fought Frazier the first time.

    Ur right Tonto. That's surprising actually, I actually thought that Lastarza came along a bit earlier in rocks career.
