See my post immediately above. I got the facts mixed up just a tad; Sauerland, not the Finns, made the proposal about insurance. Supposedly the Finns prevented the fight regardless of whether insurance was bought or if Valuev were innoculated. That's what Sauerland says, at least.

As for the "health concern", that's not really what worried the Finns. The Finns were worried about legal liability in the event that Valuev got infected. That was the biggie.

At least this is for The Ring title, which trumps all alphabet titles anyhow. I think it is permissable to consider the winner of Wlad/Chag the one and true HW champ.

Valuev will be a 'nominal' champ after the 20th ... no matter who wins it.

Would Wlad prefer a fight with Valuev over Haye? I wonder if DK may let it happen if there is a clause that Ruiz is a mandatory that has to happen ????

I hope it turns out to be a great card all the way around for you. Not to mention the rest of your time there. Make sure you post about your experience.

At least Chagaev has found the biggest fight of his career despite last week's fallout. What does carrying a hepatitis antigen mean anyways?

I think HBO is making a stupid decision by not airing the Chagaev-Klitschko fight. It's a unification fight and for the Ring Magazine Title, it's a bigger and better fight than the one with David Haye in terms of accomplishments and potential accomplishments.

SO with Chagaev and Vladimir fighting each other now and Haye and Valuev having no opponents anymore... should the latter two fight each other and face the winner of the former?

I say yes and the faceoff between the two winners could be pretty profitable!

An antigen is a substance that prompts the generation of antibodies and can cause an immune response.

It is not the same as testing for the active disease.

Props to Ruslan for having the nuts to step in against Wlad this should be a great fight and Wlad might be able to collect another belt. only prob is Does valuev's belt have any merit?. You can't really have 2 belts going around from the same org.

Valev must feel like a douche bag watching Wlad step in like this.
