What is your evidence for suggesting if the fight was close Lazcano could not get the decision?? :think
bull****, this is boxing, and boxers risk their health everytime they step in the ring for our entertainment, they should be shown some respect whoever they are facing, cheer for the guy you like, keep quiet when the other one makes their enterance, pretty simple stuff, manners, you know
I don't like it but fighters like Mayweather, Eubank and Naz used to feed of stuff like that. However, I read a recent article on Gary Lockett who said that the crowd was baying for his blood at the weigh in and ring entrance, which is suprising as Lockett is an amiable chap.
It may not be intended as disrespectful, as you say, but booing comes off as extremely offensive to the individual and associated group being booed. Europeans look like complete jerks to many people elsewhere in the world when they do this, all disclaimers aside.
it happens in many sports in europe and around the rest of the world. maybe some of you need to harden the **** up. your opposition and opponents fans will always be looking to get a mental edge over you.
Harden the **** up? It's classless ***** **** to boo your opposition out here. 20,000 fans coming down on ONE man from the other side of the world is ****ing cowardly. If you got the better talent there's no need for "an edge." Booing doesn't do **** except put an ugly atmosphere around an event. Are you suggesting it actually has an effect?? Please..
If you've got the balls to step into ring and face a man one on one, I doubt you'd give a **** whether you were booed by fans or not. Once you're in the ring it's just you and your opponent, no-one else.
If it doesn't have an effect what the **** you getting in a hissy fit about? ****s sake some guys need to take up underwater tiddlywinks or something.
Look, I'm Greek. Almost nobody here has one damn clue about boxing, except maybe me and a few dozen others. And I'm not exaggerating in any way, believe me. If you take a poll here, I bet less than 1% would know who Mike Tyson is. I have never watched a boxing match live, simply cause in Greece professional boxing is non-existant. It's not like the UK, where a crowd of 50.000 will line up for Calzaghe or Hatton. So I can't tell you how the Greeks would behave in a boxing match. But, if we are talking other sports like soccer or basketball that are very popular here, the booing is a very common thing. Even the players of a team expect the fans to boo the other team in order to break their morale. It's not disrespectful or uncommon in any way. And if you ask me, I don't disagree with this behaviour, as long as it sticks to "talking".
**** manners. This isnt the Royal Palace where one has to watch etiquette. This is a Blood Sport, you limey *******. :blurp
lacy got this **** boo'd out of him vs calzaghe and he was loving it.. but what would suck is if you got KOed and hear people laughing
It's offensive to the people and the nation itself of the fans watching LIVE on television, you simple minded moron. Stick to sucking on Calzaghe's nuts, fool. You're not good for anything else, literally, one of the weakest veteran posters on this forum.
