https://www.scribd.com/read/613326693/Warrior-A-Champion-s-Incredible-Search-for-His-Identity I just stumbled upon this little gem of a read
William Dettloff, who wrote a fine book on Ezzard Charles, also has a book on Saad Muhammad coming out in May: https://www.amazon.com/Matthew-Saad-Muhammad-Boxings-Miracle/dp/1476685258
Dixons book is excellent and very sad at the same time. Dixon spent alot of time with Matt and lived with him for a while. Matt gave Dixon the rights to his bio. I recommend the book but it will leave you feeling upset at the end.
I finished it a few days ago There were a few things that even I , with my figurative PHD in Saad Muhammadology, did not know. I won't go into anything I learned. I don't want to spoil anything for those who may want to read it. Let's just say Saad Muhammad did not have the best management once he went with the Black Muslims.
I'm 44% through it. Too bad that Saad got away from Nick Belfiore and doing things like buying a $20,000 Steinway piano that he didn't even know how to play, or a swimming pool when he didn't even know how to swim.
