Winning or losing in boxing can often come down to whether or not the fighter is in peak condition on fight night. Overtraining leaves a fighter weary, while undertraining leaves him out of shape.
    It’s a difficult balance.
“You have to be perfect that day,” said Mancini. “It’s an art form.”

No problem. A lot of material covered, so it took me a little while to decide the thread title. Some about him, some about the Pav/Bhop fight and touches on the Pav/Rubio match up.

Good read, but no matter what Ray says about the Rubio fight, Marco only needs to do one thing to win. He has to get as lucky as the little boy who caught lightning in a pop bottle.

Well, this was in the hometown rag, so little doubt he was 'bigging up' the fight a little. I've watched Rubio's fight with Ornales too many times to think it will be much different than Lockett. Maybe even shorter. Especially since Kelly has said he intends on making a statement after his first loss.

Nice. What beat him in the Bramble fight, though, was Bramble going southpaw. Ray had no answer. Great tactical move on Bramble's part.
