how anyone can say it didnt last long enough to tell if he was shot ... lord! kats in his prime took a full on beatdown from guerrero for 12 rounds (now at 147) had a war with marquez at 135 dropping him getting stopped in the 10th after a war , got stopped in 10 vs casamayor in a war ,and cant ever remember him being rocked early , bar earl .kastidis took shots from elite level fighters bigger and better than coyle and was a mile from being chinny , tommy coyle had a life and death fight with brizuela last time out , i really fear for katsidis health , i dont think ive ever seen a reaction like that , from a fighter that had such a good chin , the delayed reaction was worrying , given neurological tests revealed inconsistencies over 2 years ago, but like a lot of them was oveturned on appeal , sad to see , kastidis was every inch the gladiator he tried to personify. someone else said about hopkins age , if they were cars with clocks kats , would have 200 k on the clock ,b hops a vintage car , still gleaming with 50 k on the clock lol !

Yes the knockout was very worrying for Katsidis, a full power shot to the temple is no good for you at all, especially a war torn veteran like the Aussie, his body completely shut down. If you watch the replay after the count when the ref is asking him if he's good to go his eyes are completely glazed and was looking straight threw the referee, I was worried something serious was happening to him lastnight, hopefully it hasn't done too much damage to the old warrior.

Katsidis is a zombie and has been for a some time now. His wars with Earl, Czar Amonsot, Vicente Escobedo, Baby Bull Diaz and then his brutal beatings he took off Joel Casamayor, Marquez and Robert Guerrero showed it had caught right up with him when last visited here a few years ago in his fight with Ricky Burns.
Tommy Coyle fought a ghost last night. It was a joke and shame on the people who sanctioned it.

yeah it was a cushty punch, but michael katsidis is not the fighter he was once, it was sad to see him like that last night, didn't have the slightest idea where he was, campbell is beating coyle in the summer of 2015

34 years in age maybe, but he's been in a lot of brutal fights.

Good shot from Coyle to end matters.

Katsidis should never have been in the ring

And hopefully, sense, not money, shall prevail leading to Katsidis’s full time retirement.

No doubt that Campbell is a highly skilled individual. I feel he rushed his work yesterday, probably to eager to impress and get a statement, quickfire KO. If he continues this trend it will lead to difficulties as he steps up. Either way he beats Coyle I feel, but a switched on disciplined Luke Campbell has the ability to put on a clinic. The version that showed up tonight, might just get dragged into a tougher battle.

As a massive fan of Michael Katsidis it was horrible to watch on Saturday night, I thought if he was even 50% of what he was in his prime he'd be too much for Coyle but as soon as he appeared to make his ringwalk it was inevitable what was going to happen, his corner had to talk him into going into the ring and in the first round he looked horrible, off balance and couldn't let his hands go like he wanted.

He needs to pack it in now, his wars have caught up to him.
