Thanks for clearing that up...and extra thanks on behalf of Galchenko, because in his shoes I sure would never want my name impugned by having such a pitiful showing mistakenly attributed to me.

It’s definitely not this next bout but perhaps in between the two Baysangurov bouts. Either that or it’s been scrapped all together although I believe I saw photos of Gadzhyiev and an opponent weighing in lol

I'm stoked, this is the match I cared most about on the card but had assumed I was going to miss it (going to pick up my son from school in an hour). Timing on this worked out PERFECTLY. :deal:

So Pitto already lost via TKO12 to Khasan’s older cousin, Zaurbek, a little over 4 years ago. I wonder if that gives him extra motivation or has him more tentative

Since this is where everyone's at right now, what are some of the potential fights of the day, upcoming, that one shouldn't miss? Anything?

Khasan Baysangurov vs Guido Nicolas Pitto
    R1: 9-10

Khasan looking pretty average so far, moving stiff and not throwing a lot, used the jab a bit more in the last 30 seconds but overall Pitto is doing it better in the first round.

    Round 1

Baysangurov is walking Pitto down and tossing out jabs backhanded like shurikens into the face. Pitto is squatting, body weight shifted buttocks over heels, and raising a turtle shell. Baysangurov not letting his fists go too much, just watching and posing, extra cautious, picking his spots. A couple of body shots are strewn in by either combatant but largely this remains a slow paced jab battle. Feeling out process. Good defense by Pitto.

    10-9 Pitto, close

I would say the main attraction for the day is the ESPN2 card with Ryan Garcia and Spike O’Sullivan later tonight but I know not everyone’s interested in Ryan’s fights lol

K&K have shown potential as prospects but still both have a ways to go in proving they're worthy of carrying the family legacy that cousin Z trail-blazed for them. His ceiling was Euro/fringe world class but that is nothing to be ashamed of; either brother would be lucky to match that success IMO.

Khasan Baysangurov vs Guido Nicolas Pitto
    R1: 9-10
    R2: 10-9

Better round from Khasan, being more active now with his jab and also throwing some good hooks to the body and to the head.

    Round 2

Baysangurov is now bloodied high on the bridge of the nose, by (or perhaps on) his right eyelid. Pitto working the incisive up-jab to further redden the Russian's face. Pitto has dialed in a very effective combination, jabbing up top and then whipping the right hand into the ribs as Baysangurov's arms come up instinctively. Baysangurov is throwing his own combos stepping through, a bit less creative than Pitto and his timing a half-beat off, hitting mostly arms, just headhunting. On the rare occasion he does reach underneath Baysangurov is able to hit the midsection of Pitto but he's mostly concentrating upstairs.

    10-9 Pitto, close again

    20-18 Pitto
