Two comparably sized fringe contenders who retired with similar records and are most known for their losses to ATG’s. Roy Harris might have the better win over Willie Pastrano but in truth their win list is pretty close in quality. Neither man had an iron chin but I think Kirkman might have had a bit more power to hurt Harris with.

Yessir indeed he was! Climbed many a peak in his day. In my downtown hometown there is a beautiful mural of him painted on the side of one of the buildings as a tribute to him. A couple blocks away is one of the best hidden gem steakhouses in the state that Boone used to own back when it was a tavern. It has a beautiful bar that has been there since Boone owned the joint. Apparently when it was still his and a tavern instead of a nice steakhouse, Kirkman had a heavy bag strung up and he would entertain his patrons by whaling away at it and skipping rope.
