Good fight, Arthur's Commonwealth title on the line. David Price in 10 rounder on the undercard. From the scene.
Agree. would love to see him drop back down to Super Fly i think he could challenge there at this weight he is just to small. Hopefully Booth gets put forward for Martinez for the vacant european soon.
Jimmy Gill doesn't Lie!!! :deal When Arthur was getting the belt he told me it be Booth vs Arthur next. Booth wins back his title in this one! :thumbsup :rasta
got a feeling this will be a tough fight for Arthur. if Arthur is going to win this he's got to try to bully Booth from the start with his size, as i think he started off as a lightweight and is the far bigger man. i think Booth has campaigned down as low as fly and by his own admission had alcohol problems in the past, perhaps things will catch up with him. Booth is an excellent boxer with very good skills and if he gets into an early rhythym Arthur could be in trouble and get outboxed. saying that Jamie is underated in my opinion (Commonwealth games Gold Medalist and a nice guy too) and if he can unsettle Booth it will be very interesting. with less milage on the clock and the size advantage, i'll go for Jamie by late stoppage or SD. i think this will be a very close fight tho. thoughts?
Seen quite a bit of arthur lately and nothing hes got suggests to me he can beat booth. Hes pretty easy to hit and with booths style he could get tuned up and stopped mid rounds.
Can't see him beating Jason....if Jason's still sharp he takes it. I was ringside for the Hughes fight...and neither man was impressive. I'm glad he won a belt he's hardworking lad...but Booths skills will win back his title.
I don't think Arthur is accurate enough or polished enough to win. He's all effort but he's not precise and is easily hit himself. He tends to win on sheer effort at a lower level so he's very unlikely to win here. Booth was in against a world class fighter in Molitor and he wasn't exactly getting hammered and hit with a lot of clean punches.
