I was just gonna mention that Will. Johnson's jab did mark VK's eyes awfully easily. If KJ had shown a desire to win the fight that might've been a plan of action for him.

Was never gonna be as Johnson has decided before the first bell that he was gonna survive the 12 and collect his cheque. Pathetic!

    Yep...:yep

If Haye can get his crisp shots on target he will cut VK to bits, there is no doubt that Adam Booth and the team will have noticed that...

I think that if Haye starts to clean up on points or VK is cut they may pull him out with some moody injury than see him lose convincingly or face the possibility of been KO'd...:good

To be perfectly honest...... actually TRYING to win the fight is more than anybody else has done vs either Klitschko since the Brewster KO.

The rest have been pitiful. Rahman just clowned around for six rounds, Arreola came in 3st overweight, Peter quit, Thompson just stood there and allowed himself to be smacked around.

    :-(

Why people get on their case (I feel) is because although the opposition is so ****, they take forever to get rid of them. Tony Thompson shouldn't have lasted more than a round or two, ditto Rahman, Johnson and Gomez.

If they took more chances rather than being safety first all the time - which isn't necessary - they might have more fans.

I actually think there is a question mark over Vit's punch resistance too. He showed a decent chin against Lewis but he was a young man then and his jaw hasn't been tested since. I think it equally plausible that his resistance has faded along with his movement and power and Haye has proven he can take a genuine heavyweight out with his power. The more I think of this matchup the better chance I give Haye.

It could end up being a Kahn vs Barrera sort of situation.

Factor in the Roach effect and it all looks much more promising

The guy is delusional if he thinks nobody has tried to figure out a way of beating the Klitschko's. None of these guys want to win a heavyweight title? Come on now.

As much as everybody is saying that 'Vitali virtually shutting out Kevin Johnson makes him ripe for the taking' what do you think they can be saying about Haye losing rounds to Valuev?

    Actually no.

I think Johnson wanted to get in the ring count his money and get out.

Are you honestly trying to tell me that Johnson tried to win?

It's not just Johnson. It's everybody else both Klitschko's have faced. It's always inferred nobody has tried, Adam Booth just did so and many on here do the same. It sometimes looks like because the Klitschko's can neutralize everything their opponent has and dominate the fight.

I really don't agree. Vitali did sweet FA the other night. There were times where Johnson caught him with that nice looking jab and then didn't follow up. This was down to Johnsons Survival training as opposed to anything Vitali did.

Johnson simply did not try! plain and simple. He was there for the paycheque!

Umm I'm not just talking about Johnson. Johnson obviously got in there and realized the job was bigger than he thought and decided lasting the distance would look decent on his record.

It's inferred by Booth that nobody has tried to bring a gameplan to beat the Klitschko's. Basically, nobody has even tried. It's a theory that is often put forward on here and its complete crap.

It would be nice if people in here (the Brit forum) had the same standards for all fighters. I hardly see people being ultra-critical of Haye's opponents, because it wouldn't be that hard to do. I don't see too many people telling us that Haye's win over Valuev (which was less impressive than Chagaev's and similar to Holyfields I might add) shows that he is ripe for the taking, when in truth it does.

The fact that Freddie Roach has been talking about having some input into training Haye after they approached him.
