Still got that right hand injury? Damn thought it was getting better. I'd read he'd be ready by April. Right now here's the rankings: 1. RUSLAN CHAGAEV (OC) UZB 2. DENNIS BOYTSOV (WBA I/C) RUS 3. ALEXANDER POVETKIN RUS 4. ALEXANDER USTINOV (EBA) RUS 5. HASIM RAHMAN USA 6. NICOLAY VALUEV RUS 7. ALEXANDER DIMITRENKO UKR 8. JEAN MARC MORMECK (INT) FRA 9. KALI MEEHAN AUS 10. TOMASZ ADAMEK POL 11. ROBERT HELENIUS FIN 12. TIMUR IBRAGIMOV (NABA) UZB 13. DENNIS BAKHTOV (PABA) RUS 14. JUAN CARLOS GOMEZ CUB 15. CHRIS ARREOLA USA So if Chagaev, Boytsoz, Povetkin and Valuev are indeed all unavailable what choice does Haye have for his mandatory? Rahman is old and ****. Dimitrenko would faint at the idea. Mormeck is the only decent choice of the above ready to go boxers so to those giving Haye **** I ask, who should be his mandatory?
Rahman would take the fight if offered and he should be offered it before Moremeck. Pretty sure Boystov's injury is a serious one and Povetkin's hand + trainer issues would rule him out.
The thing is does it really matter? The available guys - Ustinov, Rahman, Mormeck, are all unworthy of a mandatory position in my opinion and Haye will recieve no credit for any of them. If Booth has indeed entered negotiations it's purely because Haye-Mormeck have history and has an angle for promotion since the last fight will be fresh in the minds of the public. I'd also add the Ibrigamov win is better than anything Rahman has done for years. I just hope Povetkin will be ready.
I did think of that but Lewis beat him to it!! Haye will just go wherever the money is since none of them are serious threats. If HBO got involved I'm pretty sure Rahman would be the choice, but I serious doubt it. Only the K2, Adamek and Haye mixture for HBO.:-(
Nothing, I addressed him in another post. I bypassed him because he's pretty much a non entity at heavyweight.
