Booth says Haye prefers Wladimir

after Ruiz fight, Vitali had a fight set a month later and Booth said they will target Vitali because the WBC belt is the most significant in their eyes etc. Now after Harrison Wlad has a fight lined up so they want him because he aint available.

 

I'm not bloody surprised they prefer Wlad to Vitali.

If they won't budge on the UK TV rights, that's terrible, IMO. (Haye's side, I mean).

I think Booth is making a mistake, I think Vitali is the "easier" target for Haye. Vitali is much older and fading and slowing down by the day. By Spring 2011 he may be there for the taking.

Wlad on the other hand may be a much taller task. Haye is speculating he can easily bully and intimidate Wlad but I don't buy into that theory.

 

haye's planning on fighting wladimir because he believes he can beat wladimir due to his chin, the problem is wladimir is the harder puncher out of the brothers. yes i know vitali has alot of stoppages on his record, but he needs to land so many hard punches to get that stoppage, which suggests to me that he's not that big of a puncher whilst wladimir does alot of damage with every right hand he throws, it's just he doesn't throw alot of them now.

david haye is ducking, and just wants to cash out when the fight does eventually happen, that's how i feel. haye isn't acting like a confident boxer.

 

i cant believe no one sees what haye and booth are doing, he said we will start talking on dec 12 th they dont want to agree anything yet because on the off chance chisora beats wlad and IF hayemaker can negotiate around the rematch clauses chisora might have imagine the money haye chisora will make

 

It just seems to me with all that Booth and Haye have been saying is that while I believe they eventually *DO* want to fight a brother they pretty much ditched the idea of fighting *BOTH* brothers.

I think they dropped the idea of unifying all 4 belts and just hope to ambush Wlad in their final fight.

 

I'm a Haye 'hater' but I think he's making the right move. We cant slag him off for this as because as long as he's fighting ANY Brother, we should be happy. If they're not willing to agree to a 50/50 split across the board, then its a duck.

Its also his best chance of double victory, if he gets lucky and lands a Hayemaker on Wlad, by the time he fights Vit, he will have aged further.

Lets not get carried away, Dec the 12th is just round the corner.

 

Since he has no intention of fighting either, its all academic.

 

Actually you might be right re Vitali. I mean, I was just thinking that Wlad is more vulnerable. But Big Vit is slowing down whereas Wlad's boxing is improving...

 

I also tend to think Vitali is the more winnable fight. He has been horrific since the Peter fight.

Fight won't happen though. Clearly the Haye camp don't fancy it. They can do Chagaev and Adameck and say they are retired and wait for a mega offer from the Klitsckos.

 

Of course it matters, dude. They see Vitali as a bigger threat.

At least by fighting Wladimir first, there's a greater chance of him getting by, and onto another hefty payday against the other brother. If he loses that one, it won't matter because his earnings will have been maximized.

That's all Haye cares about now - money.

 

I don't blame him for not wanting to fight Vitali. The man's a beast.
