Booth trying to mold Groves into another Haye?

The OP is right though, I still feel this is the case although not as blatant as before.

 

I dunno. Sure there are a few similarities but then you could say Adam Booth and David Haye are very similar. Whatever, it definitely seems to be working so far in fairness.

 

I just think let the lad fight to his strength's, I don't believe he should have hands down. It makes for exciting fights but end of day he's made life hard for himself against Anderson when if he boxed like he did as a AM he'd of stood and boxed well and stopped him without them issues.

As you say though he's winning so we'll see if he can get to Haye's level in next 18-24 months.

All good points but like I said it's working and I don't think the similarities are as big as some think. To be fair to Adam Booth though, from what I remember wasn't he the one actually telling Groves not to do what he was doing against Anderson? I seem to recall him being pretty vocal in the corner about how Groves wasn't sitting down on his shots enough.

He said don't brawl with a brawler or something, I still feel Groves has adopted a similar attitude/style as Haye. Not exactly the same but watching his Am fights to now he does have a different body language (feints etc)/Style.

 

having only seen bits of their amateur bout brielfy a while ago i could be wrong, but did anyone think the am and pro doubts between groves and degale were similar?
