Booth. I mean come on! Frampton is a very good prospect, but he hasn't been beyond 6 rounds and you're matching him up with a top, experienced Euro level fighter who knows all the tricks. Give it 12-18 months and then it might be interesting.
Booth would outfox and outmanouver him, bamboozling him throughout and force a stoppage at some point. He's just a prospect, a good one, but nowhere approaching the finished product.
From what I've seen of Frampton, as an amateur and a pro, he has the talent to beat any of the super bantams in Ireland or the UK, he just doesn't have the experience yet. Give him a year or two and he beats them all.
Now I say Frampton **** it , lets be honest Booth is decent but he is not world class , Frampton I belive is world class belive me this kid is for real and would knock the shite out of Booth , lets remember not too long ago Booth was getting beat by 14 fight novice Matthew Marsh until marsh got cut
Far too early to be talking about Booth v Frampton. Might as well talk about Munroe v Frampton. We should be talking about Frampton v Quigg and build that baby up. Booth might've retired by the time Frampton gets to that sort of level anyway. If Jason fights Munroe next year it might well be his last fight.
Booth. Can mix with world class guys and hold his own. Has skills and great domestic ring IQ. He also can take his lumps and give them back. Bit early for Carl IMO. Booth still has the goods.
That 14 fight novice had fought Derry Matthews, Esham Pickering, Rocky Dean and Josh Wale over long distances. Booth showed that was a off night against Molitor who yes may be shot as a fighter but Jason showed for first 4 rounds he could mix at a world class level and until he broke his hand was doing more then just mixing. Carl needs 2-3 development bouts before looking towards a classy operator in Booth. Plus in years time Booth may be on the wane after his Indian summer.
thank **** you aren't managing him :good frampton needs to spend the next year raising his level of competition and fighting beyond 8 rounds before thinking of taking on someone on booth's level. he's a world class prospect...but he's not world class yet
If they fought now it would not be a foregone conclusion. Frampton would not be" bamboozled" or stopped by Booth, even now. Booth gets a tad overrated on this forum, I think it's because of his backstory and the fact that he has come back after his personal problems. He's a solid technical fighter but Frampton would hold his own and Booth doesn't have the kind of power that would trouble Carl unless he has a glass jaw that I'm not aware of. I see Frampton like Frankie Gavin, he's still just a prospect that needs to be brought along but he could beat more experienced/proven guys if he was put in with them.
Interesting thread. English fans generally underestimate Irish prospects until they a. get consistant coverage on SKY or b. beat a top rated English fighter. See Paul McCloskey as a good example of that. I had the pleasure of seeing these two engage in a good competative six round spar in Nottingham at the begining of the year and Carl while struggled a little bit in the first couple of rounds he came on strong and was bossing periods toward the end. Now maybe Booth was taking it easy on the three fight novice, who knows except him, but they each looked like they were giving it a good go. Frampton has developed, matured and growen in confidence since then and I doubt that even if they fought next week it would not be as one sided as some people on here think. I only took a short video but I have some photos somewhere - I'll see if I can dig them out :good [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJUHX704stE[/ame]
