Boots ducked Crawford in 2022 or 2023 and said his team...had the wrong email address...when Ortiz tried making the fight last summer.

I dont know of Ortiz ducking anyone at all, past or present.

Boots is ducking. Again. Hope they sign and fight happens

Supposedly Ortiz is now the one delaying the process

Because Boots is not ducking, he wanted to unfiy at 147 but the other champions wouldn't fight him similar to how Opetaia is being treated now. He showed up at Ortiz last fight and called him out. Ortiz admitted later on he'd rather fight Spence and DLH seems a bit too silent during negotiations. The signs are there that someone on Ortiz's team is steering him away from Ennis.

This fight isn't going to happen this year, they will go separate ways, Ortiz will probably target Xander or Fundora and Boots will target Adams or Murtazaliev.

Imo saying that Boots is ducking not going to age well because Boots is a bad match up for Vergil, I think he beats him. I might be wrong but the fact Bohachuk hasn't looked good in his last 2 fights is making me more confident

Is this a joke? Do you really not know or are you just that much of a fanboy?

Crawford was literally under immediate rematch restriction - he literally couldnt fight ANYONE until Spence released the CLAUSE HE ACTIVATED.

    https://www.sportingnews.com/us/box...-clause-fight-legacy/af7b06c3c93bdd4538360b32

"[Crawford] just texted me yesterday and said that Spence activated his rematch," McIntyre said. "The rematch is confirmed but we don't have any date and stuff like that yet.”

The loser of the July 30 showdown was contractually granted the opportunity to activate an immediate rematch clause while the winner would determine the weight. However, considering the one-sided beating that Spence absorbed in relinquishing his 147-pound titles, there is an overwhelming majority of fans who think that the former champion should look in a different direction for his next opponent.

    And again:

    https://www.boxinginsider.com/headl...ence-rematch-clause-he-exercised-his-rematch/

He exercised his rematch,” said Crawford, “and that’s the fight that’s supposed to happen next…we shall see how negotiations go.” Crawford then added: “We supposed to fight in December, and yeah, I’m back in training.” Whether he’s going to fight Spence in December as indicated remains to be seen. Still, it’s notable that Spence is willing to step in the ring to face Crawford once more.

So you wanted Bud to violate that contractual requirement so he could fight a guy who ducked Bud less than one year ago:

What good is your argument if Spence pulled out before Bud moved up ? Boots by that time already had his belt calling him out. I don't think anyone ducked, that's a reductionist view, but Bud easily could've been 2x undisputed at welterweight. Boots was signed with Showtime for a 3 fight deal on 2022 at the time and off your own article BLK wanted no input from that network during negotiations when they directly talked to Boots and his father

Espinoza confirmed there were talks but that BLK didn't send any big offers and ST wouldn't allow the fight on that platform under those terms. They were more focused on the Spence-Crawford mega-fight which is another thing being ignored, those 2 were already in negotiations so even without believing Bozy it makes sense they'd want more money for a Crawford Boots fight not to mention BLK Prime contract with Crawford expired after Avanesyan.

I dont think Boots or Ortiz are ducking. The issue is Golden Boy and Oscar with some terrible advice trying to get more money. Just take the fight. Boots and Matchroom have the signed the contract that was agreed.
