JMM was criticized for the same thing, so changed his style and became more aggressive. Perhaps Rigo should do the same

    1. A lot of people find him boring, right or wrong. A lot of people find Mayweather boring, so those same people are going to loathe watching Rigo.

    2. His Cuban heritage makes him less attractive than most other nationalities in terms of garnering additional nationalistic attention/fanbase.

    3. His current division really doesn't hold any decent fights for him other than Mijares at the moment, and he has been adamant he will not move up.

    4. He's likely quite expensive in his purse demands now, and rightfully so, after beating the P4P top 3 guy Donaire was. I doubt his viewer rate will be on par with his salary.

In the end, we lose if HBO doesn't push Rigo to the maximum.

    This +1

I think there are some internal Top Rank issues with Rigo.

    What opposition?

    It's either Golden Boy/Showtime or it's Top Rank/HBO. Can't have both.

So, what opposition is out there for Rigo to become an ATG like you say?

You don't agree that that is what HBO is thinking?

And you don't agree with me that the fans lose if HBO doesn't maximize Rigo?

because he was too busy chasing the guy around the perimeter of the ring. Listen, how many times do you have a Television network, a fighters OWN promoter and mainstream Boxing Journalists calling a fighting 'Boring'? Not many. I can think of John Ruiz and maybe Mundine.

This is 3 separate entities saying he is boring. It isn't just arm chair fans on a message forum. For sure all 3 are not just making this up in their heads?

F*ck it then, Bob. Sell him to GBP. I'm sure they can find a spot for him on the openings of their undercards, or try to get him to fight the much larger Mares.

I like Rigondeaux. His fight with Donaire was pretty exciting to me. More exciting than Floyd's fight with Guerrero for sure! This is absolute crap!

I would say they were about the same.

Mayweather threw and landed a whole lot more than Rigo did. Guerrero threw and landed more than Donaire did.

Donaire landing the KD shot late was the most exciting moment between the two fights. And the fact that Rigo was "pulling the upset" from the start added to the tension/stakes as the rounds went on as opposed to Mayweather throwing a vintage performance.
