Hopkins, even at 43, is 100 times the boxer that Wlad is. let's see a Hopkins vs. Pavlik-like performance from Wlad. we never will.

edit: let's also not confuse the defensive abilities of either boxers as being on equal terms. Wlad flails his arms and runs straight back (some people say this is extremely good footwork.. my ass) and he can't counter to save his life.

 

FAIL.

Wlad has huge physical advantages over his opponents that no other fighters have at 200 on down. Look at the face off before they fight. His opponents are looking up at him like they are looking up at a skyscraper.

Hopkins is the opposite. He usually is undermanned whether it's age, stamina, hand speed, etc. He has to compensate for this by being as slick and as tricky as he can be. But Hopkins also has shown that when he knows he can take a guy out, he will try. Look at the Pavlik fight. Look at the Tarver fight. He let his hands go in spurts.

Hopkins can move, throw combos, and defeats opponents with a tactical brilliance.

Wlad is tall.

 

Nard hasn't really gotten a free pass. He's been called boring and cautious many times. He's just a legend where Wald at this point is not. No one really appreciated Bernard until his win over Tito which was well into his career.

 

They are both ****in borin......No double standard!!!

 

I suggest that you go and watch more Hopkins.

Or at least tell me what fights of his were "boring".

 

its also bhop's competition...i mean, trinadad, rjj, taylor x2, winky, odlh, pav, tarver, joe..

wlad's competition pales in comparison...and that's not wlad's fault either but it is what it is

 

and how many of bhop's opponents were on the p4p list at some point? again, its not wlad's fault that the hw division is down except for him and vitali, but still, bhop has been in w/ the best
