When fighters fake low blows, I find it boring and I think it goes against what boxing is supposed to be about. Has Wlad ever faked a low blow? Is he an intentionally and especially dirty fighter?
He's boring as hell too. No doubt about it. He's American though. Same with Floyd dominating Baldomir easily and taking absolutely no chances at all.
Its true that Bernard has had some very boring performances but he has also put on some of the best performances of the last couple of decades cant say the same about Wlad.
def of boring in boxing... someone puts on a boxing display where they don't get hit and do all the hitting... thats called boxing... the art of hitting without getting hit... if u wanna watch someone always getting knocked out while coming in watch mma
No, when fighters show smarts/guile and play masterfully dirty like bernard, it makes me laugh ( not boring)... He low blows them in the blind side of the ref. No, nobody said Wlad is a dirty fighter, by the opposite, he's really disciplined, clean and with sportsmanship conduct, a real nice guy. But that has nothing to do, Wladimir slows them down in BORING performances, Bernard takes them to school in masterful displays. Period.
**** this is getting embarrassing for Bernard Fans He is great boxer with out a doubt but boring as hell. he could not even get rid out most of those bums he were fighting.
Couldnt give a **** bout either of these boring twats. they're not the reason i got into boxing in the first place. cowardly bores bore the **** out of me hopkins is very skilled but stinks out every fight he gets into. boring cheating ******* klit is truly pathetic specimen - fights on pure terror. it might work for him, but ill never like respect or watch a ***** like that 2 dire fighters who are bad for the sport :smoke
To add to this, after the Trinidad fight the media had huge expectations for Hopkins. Instead of taking advantage of his win Hopkins spent the next few years fighting losers and I cannot think of a fighter more heavily criticized during that time. Not only was derided on these boards but Larry Merchant publicly went after him multiple times. His reputation went up a bit when he fought Oscar, but he was still hit for cherry picking and fighting a smaller guy that clearly couldn't fight effectively at middleweight. The Taylor fights gained him a lot of sympathy and then the Tarver fight, a guy that just about everyone hates, made him a much more popular fighter. That was a real turning point for him. To say that there's a double standard for these two is just stupid. Maybe there is on an individual level, but as a whole Hopkins has had a real love/hate relationship with the public.
Someone just exposed that they never saw Bernard fight in his prime. Boring?? Atta way to repeat something you heard someone else say. atsch Go watch the second Echols fight. Or the Johnson fight. Or the Jackson fight. Or the Lipsey fight. Or either Mercado fights. Or the Holmes fight. Or Tito. Or Vanderpool. Or even before he won a title. Boring....LMAO!! You dont get the nickname "The Executioner" by winning boring decisions.
