Both Ali and Frazier deserve credit for putting on their second fight.....

    It was a ref's fight ... Perez let Ali hold all night and it was why the fight was a let down ..

    Harry Carpenter loved it. "This is so much better than their first fight" is one of his more bizarre statements. He must have borrowed the sun that later obstructed Zack Clayton's view of the Benitez-Palomino fight. A really dull fight, it spoils the trilogy.

    I'll always maintain that,taken on it's own,it's a very good fight. It just suffers in comparisson to 1 & 3.

    I doubt you'd get bored of watching a film of Ali sleeping for 8-hours.

    Regardless of the quality of the fight at least Ali and Frazier wanted to mix it up to prove who was the better fighter. Unlike many of todays fighters who fight every year and a half and avoid other fighters for fear of losing thier reputations and more money. Hey maybe now Floyd will fight Manny now that Marquez did a number on him. Or will the public even care anymore?
