Both fighters too injured to continue stoppage?

    Interesting question here:

    I was watching Rocky II tonight and noticed how they both(Rocky and Apollo) couldent stand towards the end...has a ref ever called a fight off because BOTH fighters were taking too much punishment?
    Just curious about this, as it is the refs primary job to protect the fighters.

    Thoughts/Input?
