Green will be taking on: Dhafir Smith 24(4)-20(4)-7 Miranda will be taking on: Rayco Saunders 20(8)-13(1)-2 Both is coming off knockout losses, Edision was completely shut out against Bute, Allan however was actually leading at the time of stoppage. Neither of these guys has ever been looked upon as "elite" fighters (You COULD maybe make a case for Edison before he was KO'ed by Pavlik and Abraham.. But it would still be thin to call him an elite fighter) Allan Green has in his career beaten some good/decent fighters, but not any of note, he didnt really have anything to offer the few times were he actually stepped up.. I have always considered Allan Green a big waste of talent, since i definitely think that he has the speed, power and athleticism to be at the top of this game, he even has good punch technique IMO.. His problems is his determination, will and tactical game.. And his corner is just down right terrible. When you look at the top guys at the 168 and 175 divisions.. It's hard to think that these two guys have any future Super middleweight: WBA: Andre Ward WBC: Carl Froch IBF: Lucian Bute WBO: Robert Stieglits Other noteable fighters: Mikkel Kessler, Glen Johnson, Andre Dirrell and Kelly Pavlik Light-heavyweight: WBA: Beibut Shumenow WBC: Bernard Hopkins IBF: Tavoris Cloud WBO: Nathan Cleverly Other noteable fighters: Chad Dawson and Jean Pascal.
Green is a dumbass. If he keeps his left low in his next fight he should get KO´d again. The whole reason why Glen was so successful against Green was that Green held his left hand low. He lacks the reflexes and knowledge to fight like that.
Edison Miranda has one punch knockout power , If he lands flush he always has that chance of getting lucky against anyone .
man i'd love to see Miranda get his "Swag" back. Even if he didn't win a belt yet, he makes for some damn good fights when he's on point.
So Miranda out of Super Middle and up to Light Heavy ... how long before he's fighting at Cruiser weight?
