No considering large numbers of each others fans underrated each others record.

Manny's is a little bit. He's only had three fights there, though. He defeated Cotto, that's his only real significant win at welterweight, in my opinion. Floyd's is better, considering he's been around longer. Manny has had a great career, but his resume strictly at welterweight is not THAT impressive. (Clottey was high in the welterweight rankings, but lost every time he seemed to step up; Oscar had no business fighting at 147)

    Neither.

They both have some very good wins at 147, especially Mayweather.

:huh Dumbest reasoning ever. He's been there longer so he's better? An old Mosley has been his biggest accomplishment at WW...c'mon now.

You do know Floyd has only beaten three actual welters in 5 years?
His other three fights at 147, Sharmba Mitchell was a nothing fight, JMM was a farce and Hatton never belonged at 147. Floyd's is way more overrated, because people actually confuse it for a great welterweight resume. No one is calling Pac's welter resume great. It's more than solid though - old DLH, and top rated welters Clottey, Cotto. Margo was also a top rated welter before the ban. Those last three he beat in the past year, while Mayweather took five years to fight as many real welters.

Cotto is highly overrated. Pre Marg Cotto barely beat grandfather Mosley, he had heaps of trouble with Zab Judah and he arguably lost to Clottey who is a bum. That's pretty pathetic considering Cotto was in his prime and Mosley was an old man...Mosley even managed to knock Margarito the **** out.

Neither of their resumes are overrated and neither resume is better than the other.

There both unimpressive even though they are the 2 most skilled Welterweights, and have been for a few years.

Well, mostly I hear of Mayweather's resume getting pissed on and the state of Manny's opponents being questioned, so I don't think either are overrated at all. Considering the amount of times they've fought, and the point in their respective careers in which they stepped into the division, I can't see that either have a bad resume at all.

Maybe highly overappreciated. Perhaps that. Cotto is very good fighter however. He did barely "beat" a very shitty looking shopworn version of Mosley. This is true. Not sure what that means. Nothing really good obviously.
