It's not even that much money to be honest. You have some of the worst players in the MLB, NFL and NBA making triple that money and they get to keep their whole purse.

Yep totally agree,made a thread about A side Bside bull**** tonight and mentioned Thurmans other 50/50 fight with Porter I'm guessing some will say this a bad business decision like it really matters one iota to us fans anyway?

 

Not sure this as you say mismatch is indicative of the level of the British scene as the UK has over the past few years had quite a few World champions it's more of a silly grudge match for the fans than owt.
Re the level of British boxing though you have a point in that Haye has fought nobody at HW since his come back even though he could of gone for one of Furys belts and Bellew done good in winning the WBC belt but should be testing himself against the next level of cruiser weights in his div but he gone for the money fight and with Haye it's all about the money too and that hoped for big pay day with AJ,wish Haye would just knock out Wilder on his way lol.

 

They make interesting fights there. Love the personalities and the trash talk. We get stuck with fights like Mayweather vs Berto, Pac vs Vargas, Wilder vs Washington ... is it any wonder why interesting is declining here? I've said many times, we need promoters like Hearn here. Put on good shows, charge reasonable prices, EVERYBODY wins.
