Both Walcott and Charles was "spent" when they met Marciano.

Both Charles and Walcott fought each other 4 times. Those fights took alot out of them. In their primes they both beat Marciano. Agree or disagree?

disagree. both were definatley on the downside of their careers and would have had a better chance against marciano if they were a couple years younger, but the prime versions of both are lhw's, and i'm not picking a lhw over rocky.

I must of forgot about Walcott's crusade at light heavyweight where he fought at one time in his career.

I would say a version of Charles about 3 years prior has the best chance of beating Marciano. Walcott was pretty consistent his entire career having just come off of 2 wins against Charles 1 by KO so I don't think he would have been any better at any point his career than he was against Marciano the first time.

Charles was a bit past peak when he won the heavyweight title, Walcott was the same guy he had always been when he fought Marciano.

At Marcianos best he bests any version of Walcott or Charles. Both men fought incredibly great but losing fights when they fought Rocky the first time.

was talking about moore for some reason.

marciano's a bad style matchup for a guy like walcott, but a prime version definitley has a chance if he protects his chin.

Somewhat different because Mayweather - admittedly better preserved - was an old man too.

I think Charles would beat Marciano, prime for prime.
Any version of Walcott would probably get KO'd by Marciano though.

Yes, steroid induced baldness. No one to blame but himself.

Walcott was on his way to a UD against Marciano the first time before getting KO'd. Like I said Walcott was pretty consistent his entire career so I don't think being in or out of his "prime" really would make a difference.

a bit more gas in the tank can never hurt, that said maybe he just gets stopped later in the fight.
