...It's not as if y'all don't have some points, if I'm being objective. And nobody is super impressed with Botha, we're just angry that he got screwed mightily out of a knockout of a young prospect. Changing the distance short notice without telling a guy is hideous, and it reeks. And because of that controversy, the drug test smells awful. They are trying to shut buff up. And I remember the Alexander-Mattysshe thing, but didn't that happen days prior to the fight?
That's hardly a minor oops if he didn't tell Botha. If I were Botha and that were truly the case I'd probably fire him ASAP. Must be tough to keep your mouth shut as people rip you. I'd probably have given myself away within 3 hate posts if I were a professional fighter.
I dont think I make malicious posts about pro fighters anyways your the reason we watch this sport. Well sport to us but obviously a living to you guys. Yeah matthyse knew it was 10, it was a bs decision but he knew it was 10. This thing with botha and SBW is as close to legal match fixing as you can get in a high profile fight.
Sometimes, but mainly when it's my opponents who get dogged. Haters gonna hate. I'll keep knocking people out and making more money than I should doing so. Which David Bostice fight is this?
Tony can crack a bit, his problem is, he doesn't crack in a fight. Prefers to box and throw, as opposed to sit down on anything. Pretty cool guy, he was crushed after getting throttled in his big rematch.
You have a great country with enthusiastic boxing trainers and young fighters. We all forgive you for SBW and his people. Loved my short time over there.
Thanks buddy. Most of the guys in SBW's corner aren't even from New Zealand themselves but yeah thanks to this boxing has unfortunately become the laughing stock of sport here. It wasn't a big fight by any stretch but for our country it was because this was an All Black Rugby player taking the fight against a guy who had lined up against Tyson, Lewis, Wlad and Hoylfield. I'm glad you enjoyed your time over here.
One hell of an attitude. Sometimes fan can forget the sacrifice and hardships fighters endure. Too easily we toss around rather disgraceful words about fighters whenever they lose or slip in the least bit (I'm certainly guilty of this). And then we have the gall to wonder why everyone is protected and why none of the good match-ups happen (This is only a slimmer our fault, but it's apart of the pie). In the end almost any man willing to get in squared circle deserves respect, and while immature language gets thrown I think deep down most true fight fans realize this after impulsive name-calling gets blithely thrown around. Alright, done sucking up. Still curious who you are but have the respect to not pry about it. Yeah, it must take restraint.
I don't get it that bad around here. I don't blame anybody; They don't know who they are talking about, and that gives a certain forgivable boldness on the internet. The biggest reason I with-hold my identity in a fandom sense(Forums, games, etc.) is legal, but the second biggest is purity of discourse. I LOVE boxing. I'm such a huge fan, such a lover of the history. I want to talk about that with you guys, and learn. If my identity as a small piece of the history we love gets out, it threatens to overshadow my identity as a poster and the quality of the discourse and education I receive in this environment. I love providing my insight to further discussion. I'd rather not debate my place in history. Y'all have me ranked pretty low, and I'm not going to actively dispute that. But I'd rather not confront it in every thread. Just keep in mind that for every offensive, ignorant comment, I've received support from a fan in my career. Boxing fans have been great to me. Some odd nothing on the internet can never overshadow 20 years of gracious fan support. Bless you guys for loving the sweet science.
Dude, your privacy is your privilege. It's a good parlor game for some us to guess who you are, but it makes no difference. Your insight on this board has been invaluable.
