This sport provides many different styles. You have defensive, aggression, defensive/aggressive and many different variations. All styles require courage, heart and superior physical abilities to successfully apply in front of millions of fans world wide and thousands within the arena itself. Surely keyboard trash like you will never comprehend any of this to show some respect even though your respect is as meaningless as your existence.

On topic, what Lara did sure as hell wasn't enough for me compared to what Alvarez was doing. While Lara moved a lot and relied too much on his defensive, he sometimes never threw anything back to make a mark in this fight. All he did was throw predictable one twos and move out. You can't and won't win a fight like that only throwing two punches. If you're going to be defensive you might as well be effective with it. Take a look at real defensive fighters like RJJ, Mayweather, Hopkins...etc, these guys moved but also forced aggressive opponents backwards using unpredictability, skill and different variations of punches. From body shots, right hand leads, hooks, uppercuts...etc. That's how you fight defensively, moving around and only throwing one twos here and there is not enough. Alvarez was in his face all night pummeling him with vicious body shots and every punch Alvarez threw had KO intentions all over it. One punch from Alvarez would count as three from Lara in terms of bad intentions.

I looked at the judges before the fight and thought this guy might be a problem. It was probably me racial profiling, it is what it is.

When I heard the 117-111, I KNEW it was Canelo, there was no doubt in my mind. I had a wager on Lara and was pissed as soon as I heard 117-111. There was no way Lara was going to get that score going against the hype of Canelo. Same **** different day if you watch a lot of boxing.

117-111 was the last thing I wanted to hear. It was a hard fight to score, but 9-2 going into the last round is corrupt.

Then you guys wonder why Boxing is a dying sport, who wants to watch a sport where someone wins and is constantly robbed. I swear I am waiting for the day the computers judge these fights, their is simpyl too much robbery. What does this send to youth. Box your heart out and beat someone and you will still lose.

Too many folks paying attention to the announcers and the compubox scorecards. I usually try to count actual hits, not arm shots, the first few rounds, and if they don't match the announcers, then just ignore the announcer's bullsh.t and enjoy the fight.

How old are you? You have bad reading comprehension. The TS never said entertainment should be considered when judging a fight. :patsch

The TS admitted Lara was winning. The TS even said he was hoping Lara would get robbed, and you still imply the TS thinks entertainment should go into scoring a fight!!!:-(

You cant' win a fight by running. Lara was afraid to fight Alvarez. One left uppercut did more damage than all of Lara's baby punches. If Lara wants to win a fight he needs to fight................I had the fight 117-111 for Alvarez, Lara did nothing but run like hell......................

Alvarez would knock Cotto out.......................Alvarez will probably fight Kirkland next, no way with he fight Golovkin. Golovkin would knock Alvarez out, he would also knock Cotto out as well as Lara, Soliman, Quillin, etc.
