I like the way this one has polarised opinion. Personally, I think Haye should just knuckle-down, face his mandatory and stop throwing his toys out of the pram when he doesn't get his own way. He's making a rod for his own back by trying to unify the division before this "now or never" October 2011 deadline.
He has yet to convince me he's a genuine HW anyway...

Dear lord so many ****** Haye fans. Who gives a **** if he Wladimir fights Chisora or not as long as he is willing to fight on July 2?

Haye has been the ducker for 3 years and he's the ducker now.

This doesn't make any sense. What does the WBA care whether Wladimir takes a tune-up fight? If Haye can't fight before July 2 without being stripped (this is likely bull**** btw) then that's how it is.

Haye's excuses for ducking are mutually exclusive. On the one hand he says he's ducking because July 2 is too late and he has to face his mandatory before then. On the other hand he says July 2nd would be fine, but he can't risk it if Wladimir is taking a tune-up.

Either way it's a load of crap--Haye doesn't want the fight. If Haye wanted the fight he'd be fighting Wladimir on April 30th. Khan and Sky are just additional rationalizations to duck Wlad.

I think you'll find it does make sense.

Right i'll explain - the WBA have the power to, and was obviously going to allow Haye to put back the mandatory (which must be fought before July) in order to sign for a unification fight. Okay?

But Haye can't possibly guarantee that a fight against Wlad will be a unification if Wlad if putting his titles on the line against another fighter before the fight. Wlad could lose his belts meaning no unification. Therefore Wlad must sign to fight Haye in a guaranteed unification before the Chagaev mandatory goes to purse bids.

So basically Haye fights a unification, fights his mandatory or relinquishes his title. He can't possibly sign a unification if Wlad fights Chisora

Haye isn't the true WBA Champ anyways. What does that title matter? The real Champ was Chagaev when Wlad knocked him out. Wlad's the true WBA champ.
