Kovalev also beat Campillo, who was a top 5 LHW at the time.

HBO was offering 2+++ million to each fighter and Main Events was gonna let the fight happen in Stevenson backyard where he'd get a 75% of the pursesplit.

Anyone think Roidnard is gonna give him that kindof split????:yep:yep:yep:nono:nono:nono

I'll say what I said before on another thread in response to your "he hasn't fought anyone" line.

The other thing that some guys are saying is "who has Kovalev fought?" Anyone saying this doesn't know boxing. Kovalev has fought all comers, turned no one down. Not only that, the guys he has beaten in his last few fights have all been tough customers. He just made them look mediocre.

Agnew was a tough SOB, make no mistake about it. Kovalev broke him down.

Sillah was a crafty, KO artist. He made him look average.

    Cleverly, like Agnew, was undefeated.

Camillo, though on his way down, was a tough, seasoned professional. He broke his will.

Simakov, the guy he killed, was 19-1-1.

He fought Boone twice and KO'd him in the second fight. As everyone knows, Boone KO'd Stevenson in their first fight.

Kovalev's opponents' combined records over his last 6 fights are 117-7.

As I said, anyone who asks who Kovalev has fought doesn't know boxing.

Fonfara knocked Stevenson down and hurt him, can you imagine if Kovalev had landed those punches on Stevenson? Fact it, it is very clear that Stevenson had an agreement with HBO to fight Kovalev, Kovalev called Stevenson out, Stevenson would not even answer when asked about Kovalev. Stevenson knows he would get knocked out. Fact is that boxing fans are getting cheated out of some really good fights because of cowardice and boxing politics...........

Do you honestly expect him to say he has a problem fighting Kovalev in interviews?. Beating Kovalev won't guarantee him far bigger paydays, he's on a roll at the moment especially after the Dawson KO, 37 years old and needs to score paydays quickly before it's too late. Kovalev WON'T offer a big payday and won't even be PPV material either. He would make far more money fighting Hopkins and get far more recognition for winning that beating Kovalev at the moment and this is Kovalev' fault.

I'm not discrediting Kovalev' win over Cleverly, that was a top notch win for sure but on paper not many will even know about this victory. Having significant wins bring you the big fights and paydays and unfortunately Kovalev lacks any at the moment.

If you honestly believe a scared person would be in a profession like Boxing then your stupidity requires immediate medication.

He could have fought Kovalev first, and if he won, could have moved to Showtime and eventually fight Hopkins. Would be a much bigger fight.
