bottom ten HW champions/titlists (major belt, and none of this silver or regular or 90s WBO shyte) ever.

    my list -

Now bubbling under - Jack Sharkey(1930s)
    10. Tommy Burns (1900s) - was around for 2 years BUT at under 170lbs and a miniman can hardly be considered a force at HW, depsite considerable skill and cunning, and even honesty.
    9. Sugar Valuev (2010s)- little real success, not really a world level competent boxer
    8. Ruslan Chaggy(2000s) -2 terrible title defences before squeaking out
    7. Ingemar Johannson(1950s) - beat patts, but clearly a fluke win.
    6. Leon Spinks (1970s) -good amateur pedigree doesn't detract that he was set up for parkinsons ali to hold onto the title
    5. Shannon Briggs(1990s) -awful
    4. John Ruiz(2000s) - jammy success based on weakened opposition
    3. Sam Peter(2010s) - barely in hsape for 6 rounds, let alone title fights
    2. Corrie Sanders(1990s heyday) - gifted a shot when retired in nowhere near world title form.
    1. Charles Martin(present era) - gave up in round 2, first defence (maybe amended if AJ turns out to be a world level stopper consistently).

suggested valid additions from Mendoza (with thanks) - Oleg Maskaev(2000s) and Liakhovich(2000s)

Jack Sharkey doesn’t belong anywhere near the list.

His latter losses don’t undo his incredible early run of form.

Sharkey doesn't belong. Oh sure, no agenda here:patsch. There are a few weaker alphabet champions not listed here....

A bit of help, add Braddock, Seldon, Bentt, Liakhovich, Maskeav, and Damiani.

You missed Hide, whom Vitali defeated. You see, you are not even educated enough to be a good hater.

why u mentioning agendas, this is about merit (or lack of it, more accurately).
Thereis a solid spread of titlists from across the history of HW - for someone like you to pretend there is an agenda IS the real agenda.

    not braddock hes HoF
seldom is realtively poor but not that poor
Damiani and bent dont fit the criteria but Liakhovich is a possible, seeing as he was wbo around 2006 I think? Thanks for that.
Maskeav - he wasn't terrible, but yeah possible for the lower part of the list.Maybe I will add him but I don't think hes bad enough.

said the guy who cant read the English of the criteria - nice one mate, off to a winner again, I see calling someone out over words that he later realised he didn't read properly himself.

You forgot Glaucus, who got the snot beaten out of him before his "Rocky moment". Also, Zopyros could barely be considered a champion as a "junior" yet he got a crown.

    This is one weak-ass list.

It reveals the ignorance of the OP in all its horror.

the idea is to add your list, not throw your toys out of the pram because you saw some ex-K bro opposition on it.

Ingemar Johansson was the european champ, undefeated and had just knocked out the number one contender in one round when he challenged for the world title and won it by virtue of a violent knockout. After Floyd beat him, he regained the european title and apart from his losses to Floyd he remained undefeated. Yes, it was a short career, but in no way shape or form should he be considered the worst champ ever. How do you rank Douglas or Braddock above him for example?

my thoughts are this - braddock was beaten by the greatest hw to walk the earth. No way would anyone bar the best h2h kings wouldhave kept their title that night. He wasn't going to win. But he did beat the h2h beast that was Baer before that.

And Douglas again beat Tyson. Its an outstanding victory, on par with braddock beating baer.

Ingemar may have been a great euro champ, but he was a poor world champ who got lucky against a green HoFer who wasn't all that h2h. Your input is noted, I might move him up the list (ie less poor)

Bottom ten by what criteria? Is this just the ten that you find least impressive? Is h2h relevant?

The tricky part is whether to include alphabet titlists or linear champs, because it's easy to fill up the list in about ten seconds with alphabet-ists. Like, I don't consider Bentt, Damiani, etc. to have ever been a champion. Not at all.

Charles Martin is being prematurely judged. I think he won his title in the most dubious circumstances, but I don't agree that he quit. I think he could have continued. Most likely he will prove to in fact be a sucky champ, but let's give him a little more time before we rank him number one.

Right. I know we're past the David Tua hype that plagued us recently, but it doesn't say much considering Maskaev is getting a shout out who had the best of the action up until the 11th round when they fought
