Lol See how ignorant you are? Burns, Johannson and Sharkey are also in the hall of fame.atsch You listed them. They were all alphabet title holders. Based on your reply, English is not your forte.
Is 10 the worst or is 1 the worst? I'm inclined to give true lineal champs more credit than the average alphabet belt holder. Not H2H, but their spot in history is more acclaimed and credible. Thus, while I rate Ingo very low, he'd still make it out of the bottom 10. I rate Sanders and Peter, along with Byrd, as the best non K's of the K era, so definitely wouldn't have them on it. All these guys are good, inso far as they were among the 10 best hw's on the planet at their best point in time. My list would look something like this, with 10 being less bad and 1 being the worst. 10 Pinklon Thomas 9. Sultan Ibragimov: Beat ancient Holyfield and oldish Briggs were by far career highlights. 8. Bonecrusher Smith 7.Mike Weaver: Was basically a Ross Purrity type, a horrible record guy who occasionally did well against top HW's. On the other hand, he did successfully defend twice against half decent opponents. 6 Mike Dokes: Weaver and Cobb were the only toppish HW's he could beat, and he barely did that most of the time. 5. White Wolf: Only really beat Brewster, and that barely. 4.John Tate: Was hyped a lot at the time he won his title, but immediately gave it up, never faced his era's best, and only fought about 6 half decent contenders, losing to 2 of them. 3 Tony Tubbs 2. Gerrie Coetzee 1. Charles Martin. Could change, right now, he's the least proven of any semi legit HW champ in history.
There have been some bad ones. 1. Martin. A fraud who achieved a high ranking alphabet ranking that was not earned. He went out in his first title defense with little pride or punch resistance 2. Bentt - He caught Tommy Morrison but did little else. 3. Braddock - A tough-minded Journeyman who was small, not powerfull and not fast. Lost a lot. 4. Savold. They made him Champion when Joe Louis retired. He lost a lot. 5. Leon Spinks. Lost too often. Best known for beating an older Ali. 6. Liakhovich - Lost too many fights. Had good ability 7. Seldon - Fast and skilled, he had nerves of a child and a bad chin. 8. Hart - An obscure champion at the turn of the century who became champion when Jeffries retired. 9. Maskeav. Good skills, good power, Average defense, and chin. 10. Wilder. While this might be a tad unfair, I highly suspect a fraud. He has not fought and beaten a top 5 opponent to date.
That is actually a pretty good list. And by good, I mean you have accurately listed some of the worst ones.
People call Douglas a one-hit-wonder, which isn't fair. He beat Greg Page on the way to the title, and also beat Oliver McCall and Jesse Ferguson. Not the deepest resume, but I think Buster would beat the hell out of many of the people on this list.
