Khan vs Maidana - both guys showed they can take punishment and continue Maidana vs Ortiz - dropped 3 times Holyfield vs Bowe - no need to explain Ali vs Fraizer 3 - Both guys took each other to hell
Mancini vs Bramble 2. I thought Mancini was on his way to getting stopped at one point, yet he sucked it up and came back strong toward the end of the fight. I mean you still who'd won, but he definitely evened up the cards a bit. I always had a lot of respect for the sheer heart Ray showed to drive himself on in that fight.
Happens all the time. Thats why I love this sport:good Corrales Castillo is probably the best one I can think of. Both guys had a game plan that was to take it out of the other guy. Both guys executed wonderfully and neither guy was prepared to deviate from their game plan even though it was clear that they were on a kamikaze course to a brutal finish. Thats real balls. Mental and physical. What a great fight.:deal
Whether you think he won or lost is debatable but I thought Larry Holmes showed some metal against Carl Williams in the Championship rounds. Infact if he did win its how he performed in those rounds by digging down for some Championship spirit. Ray Leonard against Hearns would be a great example. He just wouldn't be denied. Heart/Championship spirit is what won him the fight against Hearns imo. Some fighters would of accepted their fate mentally, but not Ray.
Yep Def ..... Marquez gets dropped THREE times in the 1st round by pacquiao is badly stunned but stands up takes a deep breath fights through & gets a DRAW ..... A TRue WARRIOR !!!!!!!
Cotto-Clottey.9 rounds with a bad cut and no trainer to give him tips. Pac-Morales 1. Pac didn't get tentative when he wound up with a bad cut like he does now against competition. Even though Eric was outboxing him he stayed in the fight
When Holmes won the title against Norton that was also a performance. Its probably one the best heavyweight title fights that no one ever mentions...
Danny Williams against Mark Potter and Konstantic Airich I don't know how he stayed calm during the Airich fight, id have belted that referee
Easy one. Danny Williams dislocates his shoulder during his fight with Mark Potter, only to fight on and land a stunning knockout blow. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QY1jzjTjIhY[/ame]
Danny Williams vs Mark Potter. Edit: LW beat me to it. Crisps. Actually Williams vs Airich is another choice given the circumstances.
