A mate of mine believes that only late 80s Tyson and peak Lennox Lewis of the past 25 years would beat the Klitschkos.

I'm dubious, as I think the Bowe and Holyfield of the early-mid 90s were superb heavyweights h2h.

If the Bowe of his first win over Holyfield faced the Vitali K who fought Lennox Lewis in '03, who would you take to win?

If the Holyfield of his win over Bowe faced the Wlad K who has been so dominant in his last few fights, who would you take to win?

Settle this argument please! Give results and reasons!

I think Today's Wladimir beats Holyfield from the outside with his jab & size dictating the distance between them until Evander is eventually KO'd late in the fight. Possibly a ref stoppage.

The other matchup is much harder to determine. Bowe was a great inside fighter for such a big guy & Vitali is easily drawn into exchanging in the center of the ring. Both have/had great chins too. Possibly a TKO cuts stoppage for Bowe or a points victory, but I could easily see Vitali knocking Bowe around like Golota did too. Tough call on that one.

I think bowe could beat wlad but not vitali and i think holy could beat vitali but not wlad, i see bowe as a storng enough fighter to get inside with wlad and cause him soem problems and holy tough and quick enough to out work vitali for a very close points win.

    Bowe beats both Klits...

Holy wouldnt let Wlad fight his preferred fight and it could be very close in the end..I would side with Wlad though.

Prime Holyfield I think would just be too fast for either Klit , There is a huge size advantage but I think Holyfield would be able to get inside..but this fight is more of a toss up than one with prime Bowe ...

Prime Bowe I think Would knock out Wlad and outpoint Vitali ..... and thats prime Bowe, not the ******ed lazy one. Vitali struggled with the 6'5 lewis who was past his prime and definitely out of shape.. he was on two weeks notice and anyone who would try to argue the fact that Lewis was out of shape has never objectively watched the fight.

Bowe was 6'5 and when he was prime, he was a beast... and super fast for his size... I don't think either Klit could handle his speed and size.

    Great Question!

I think that a prime Holyfield has the ability to win a decision against Wlad, and he might even knock him down with a headbutt. I think Wlad, if forced to fight, might have a chance of stopping Holyfield.

I'll give the edge to Holyfield, mainly on a "style" vs. "style" basis.

In my book, a prime Vitali will beat a prime Bowe. Vitali is not afraid and he's a big, tough, mean guy. I don't think that Bowe could handle a guy as big and tough as Vitali. Unless I'm mistaken, Bowe wasn't too keen on fighting Lennox -- therefore, Vitali would also own the poor guy.

Prime Tua would fancy taking out Wlad.

Wouldn't like to predict Prime Golota against Wlad either.

I'd fancy Bruno to take out Wlad too. Both have great jabs, Bruno has more power and a slightly better chin.

A much faded Holyfield gave a peak Lennox Lewis two very competitive fights.

Mull that over a bit before you pick Wlad to simply outbox him from the outside.

Haha fair enough. But neither fight was a blowout and Holy didn't really show up for the first one.

He wasn't faded, that was years ago, he still looked good against Valuev the other night.
