I think late-30s Usyk and prime Bowe is very debatable, though that just shows how much better Usyk is than Bowe in actuality.

 

No, the only fight that was tough for a stretch was Fury 1, and at no point was Fury up in the fight. Usyk took off and ran away with it. The others Usyk was always in control.

It wasn't the refs, except for that fight, as much as it was the judges. Usyk had never been in anything close to a real split decision.

 

That's not strictly true Fury was ahead on all 3 judges scorecards after 8 rounds.

I myself had the fight dead level after 8 rounds.

Usyk did need a strong finish in the championship rounds which in fairness to him he did.

But it was a close fight.

Infact alot of Usyk's Heavyweight fights barring Dubois have been close coming into the championship rounds.

Joshua 2, Chisora, Fury 1.

A fit and focussed Bowe would be an elite fighter in any era and it is certainly a possibility he could well beat Usyk,the same can also be said of Holyfield !

 

Again you are just completely detached from reality. the AJ rematch was a close competitive fight also and a SD, regardless of your personal opinion what a 'real SD is'.

Yeah, and one of the judges actually gave Fury the fight. British judges will be British judges. It is exactly my point.

 

Some of the judges may of had some of the fights a tad too close but I also think people exaggerate how dominant Usyk was in some of these fights.

Like I hear now Usyk dominated Chisora but that wasn't the narrative at the time. And it's also one of the reasons why Usyk was the underdog vs Joshua based on how he looked vs Chisora which wasn't overly impressive to be honest.

 

No it's wrong, not only is it wrong on paper but the consensus of viewers disagree with you. The Fury fight was close with plenty having Fury ahead at some point in the fight though Usyk pulled back. One judge had Fury ahead after the 7th, not far fetched at all

 

Is there no HW you'd back over prime Usyk?
