The year is 1992 Lewis has just beaten Ruddock .. and Bowe has just won the championship of the world by outpointing Evander Holyfield..

Would Riddick have out hustled Lewis or would Lewis have outmanouvered Bowe to grab a victory to become new champ?

    What is your verdict..?

A lot of different outcomes i am guessing.. give reasons..

    God bless..:good

Bowe didn't throw the title away because he could win......

He knew the outcome, Lewis win.

I think Lewis win 9 times out of 10, and he only loses the tenth time because he gets bored, start eating too much jerk chicken and take his eye off the ball.

Lewis was the better all round boxer aswel as the bigger hitter imo. I see him boxing carefully for a good 6-7 rounds, using the long jabs, picking up pts, before letting big right hands go, and bringing up the uppercut.

Bowe was hard as nails though, if Lewis doesnt TKO him late I see a decision win for him.

I think Big Daddy thought the same thing, thats why he ducked him.

I also feel the same way if Lewis had met Tyson in the premccall lewis era.

I dont know, 50/50 for me. Bowe was in amazing shape when he beat a prime Holyfield, he got the best of him on the inside and the outside. Lewis on the other hand was not in his prime at all, he was still trying to find himself as a fighter, and didnt do that IMO until 96, Manny turned Lewis from a pretty good Heavyweight into a great Heavyweight.

I see the fight going one of 2 ways, Lewis out boxing Bowe from the outside and systematically breaking him down with his jab and the occasional right hand, which would end up a decision win for Lewis or a late round TKO. I also see Bowe catching Lewis with a big hook on the inside early in the fight, which puts him down, and after a flury and a huge overhand right from Bowe, the fight ends up being stopped.

:patsch LL would have blown him out ala GOLTA style ! BOWE got hit by RIGHT HANDS to easy and there was a reason why BOWE was steered clear of BIG PUNCHERS !:deal

That was 3 or 4 years later, when Bowe was fat and out of his prime. Were talking about the 92 version of each fighter, not the 95-96 version.:deal

:patsch LL would have done him in at any time ! And the fact is BOWE was never that good ! he wasnt a great puncher and he wasnt very fast and he was easy to hit and hurt ! people here apparently think if you can throw an uppercut and beat a much smller man on the inside you have some magical talent ! in reality BOWE was simply grossly overrated ! :good

I could agree with that, he was a little overrated after he beat Holyfield. I just think Bowe in 92 would be handful for anyone, he was one of the few big men that could fight well on the inside and out, and had good power. I would say Lewis chin is a little worse than Bowe's, Bowe took alot of clean shots from a pretty powerful punching Golota and wouldnt go out.

First off, let's agree that this was a fight for 93, not 92. Lewis beat Ruddock on Halloween 92 and Bowe-Holyfield was in November of that year. So this fight should've happened around May 1993 (instead of Bowe-JESSE FERGUSON).

If both guys were in top shape, this would have been one of the greatest fights ever, in my opinion. Both guys had huge power, great jabs and good reflexes. Lewis was the harder hitter but Bowe had more heart and determination and a better chin. Bowe may have outweighed Lewis by about 5 lbs, but they would have been so evenly matched at such a high level, it would have been ridiculous.

I do tend to think that Bowe would've gotten nailed with that lightning fast right hand from Lewis. Lennox was too smart to get lulled into exchanging uppercuts on the inside (a fight Bowe wins). However, Bowe's high level of boxing skills makes it possible that he could've hung with Lewis in a fight of mostly jabs and straight rights. I just think that at the end of the day, Lewis would've won the fight on smarts. He got knocked out by McCall and Rahman b/c he didn't have true respect for them. However, when he was highly trained and motivated (Ruddock, Golota, Holyfield, Tyson), he was never even rocked. Lewis by unanimous decision, only b/c Bowe had a tremendous chin and heart. If the fight had happened, it would've likely called for a rematch.
