Bowe To Possibly Fight Lewis At Camden Yards?

    BALTIMORE -- Former heavyweight champions Riddick Bowe and Lennox Lewis could meet in the squared circle at Oriole Park. Both are currently listed as retired fighters.This would be the first non-baseball related event at Camden Yards since the Pope's visit in 1995.Bowe has a career record of 43-1 with one "no contest." Lewis has a career record of 41-2 with one draw.A representative for the Baltimore Orioles could not confirm the match.The two men have never met in the ring in a professional fight.According to Bowe, if the match takes place, the likely date for the event is Sept. 11.

    Lewis is smarter than that I doubt he goes on with this.....I hope.

    What does Lewis gain by this? He is considered an ATG heavyweight. If Bowe beats him then he is just giving Bowe a chance to look good. If Lewis beat Bowe no one will add that to his legacy. Is this for real? Seems like something they would have said year ago.

    Even if the fight were to end in 30 seconds, it would mean virtually nothing to whoever takes it..... The only valid reason for such a match taking place, is if it were for a noble cause such as a charity fund raiser, but I doubt that it would even raise enough money to make it worth while...
