My pick is on the right Joe Louis LTKO10 Louis gets dropped but stops Bowe Jack Dempsey LKO3 Dempsey takes him out early, Bowe too hittable Rocky Marciano WUD competitive Marciano too hittable, Bowe too big to play the take 1 to give 1 back with Joe Walcott WSD or MD Holmes LUD Holmes wins but gets dropped Frazier LTKO12 or MD Bowe drops frazier early, Frazier comes on after 6-8rds Wlad K. LKO or WKO Neither one can take the others power. Bowe could also win late if Wlad gasses Charles WTKO 12 or WUD too big and strong Archie Moore WTKO 10 Bowe too big, Uppercut very effective vs Moore defense Michael Moorer WKO 7 competitve for 3-5 rounds then Bowe KOs him George Foreman LKO 4 George too agressive, Bowe too hittable and weasy to hurt
Against who? I rate him in terms of skill, heart and physical attributes. His resumee is just kind of light(especially in terms of dangerous punchers) compared to others of his era and i dont rate his ability to take a big Punch from a big puncher at all. He just got hurt(and hurt badly) too easily in fights by guys who were not near the top of the division in terms of 1 punch power.
Yes Holy hurt Bowe but he also hurt Qawi, Tyson and Mercer all known for their iron chins. He even stunned Foreman. Golota did it but he landed tons of punches against past prime Bowe and couldn't get him out there. 60+ power punches Golota landed in rd 2 of their 2nd fight. And anyway Golota was 6'4'' 240 lbs guy. Bowe could survive when he got hurt, and he could fight back. If we talk 92-93 Bowe, he was very good at punishing his opponents at the highest pace. You have him 6-5 or 5-6 in these matches (Wlad win or lose), I'd give him 2-3 more wins.
He could beat anybody on this list, having a hard time against Holmes, Wlad, Foremen and maybe Louis.
Bowe would beat them all without major problems... Except Holmes and Foreman, those are pick'em fights, though I would still favor Bowe.
Louis vs Bowe is tricky. If Louis can survive the power of the bigger man, Louis stops Bowe. If not, well that's self explanatory. I guess I can lean towards Louis, but he'd need to be on his best behavior vs the best of Riddick Bowe Bowe vs Dempsey.....I'll lean towards Bowe. Picturing Bowe replacing Firpo, it doesn't look good for Dempsey. Go with Bowe by stoppage Marciano vs Bowe....Leaning towards Bowe again Bowe vs Walcott.....Bowe talks about this one himself. This content is protected He says that he feels Walcott would have been ahead on the cards, but like Louis, would stop Walcott late. I concur with this assessment. Holmes vs Bowe....I'll take Holmes UD Bowe vs Frazier....Lean towards Bowe stopping Frazier after multiple knockdowns Bowe vs Wlad could go either way Bowe vs Charles......size and strength make the difference here. If Bowe didn't have such a big punch and very good technical skill, I may pick Charles, but he may be ahead on the cards right up until Bowe catching him and stopping him. Same for Archie Moore. Bowe vs Moorer.....Moorer may make it competitive for a little while, but the writing is on the wall. Bowe stops him...badly.
LMAO! Bowe would destroy Jack Dempsey. Foreman is obviously the worst matchup on that list for Bowe. Prime Foreman would put a bad hurtin on Bowe.
" weasy to hurt"...a new "boxing term": Those guys who claim a "pre-fight" cold, post-fight, after they lose taking the ten count...then jumping up a "11".
Loses to Dempsey by ko Beats Marciano by tko Beats Walcott by close dec Loses to Holmes by dec Frazier? Can't decide Beats Wlad by dec Beats Charles by close dec Stops Moore Stops Moorer Loses to Foreman by ko
