Prime for Prime. Bowe of the first Holyfield fight against Buster
Douglass of the Tyson fight. 12 rounds. Who takes it and how?
I see a great boxing match. A battle of the the jabs
that turns into a slugfest. Bowe is up five to to four going into
The tenth.Bowe gets rocked but wins it on the inside via huge uppercut.
    Bowe ko 10. Thoughts?

I'll go with Bowe, but stylistically, Douglas would give him hell.

A good jab, some mobility, and the willingness to keep coming and throwing behind that good jab were all one needed to give Riddick a hard night. Watch any fight of his career against somebody who fit these qualities to see my point.

I think eventually, Douglas wouldn't exit quick enough from the inside, and his mediocre jaw would fail him, Riddick's uppercut is one of the most deceptively hard shots any heavyweight ever threw. Add that Buster might not have the mental capacity for a two-way fight, and its hard to pick him.

But I think Buster might have been up on the cards when that happened.

Not much between either man here. maybe douglas is harder to hit.

    Both fighters are evenly matched...

However, if Douglas brings to the ring the same mental focus and determination as in Tokyo, then he has a slight edge

Bowe never quit like Douglas did on two occassions. I dont think he would have his way with Bowe like he did Tyson so Bowe would probably make him quit by the late rounds.

Bowe. He was a beast in his brief heyday.

Tokyo Douglas beats any Bowe, that jab, too much speed, too much mobility

I haven't seen Bowe do well against a god man his own size and with skill look at Golota, Tubbs and Lewis in the amateurs who he would not fight in the pros. On this basis I think Douglas if he brings the right game defeats Bowe.

Tokyo Douglas is the only Douglas who really gave a crap, the few fights before he was pretty tasty too, afterwards he gave up

I might have to agree on this. Douglas in Tokyo was very fluid and threw beautiful, fast, hard combinations, much better than anything that I've ever seen Bowe throw. And Bowe wouldn't have a size or strength advantage over Douglas either, so it wouldn't be like Bowe would overpower Douglas. I see the fight going either way, but a Douglas victory would be very possible.

all true but douglas' defense was still only decent against tyson. he was just facing a one punch at a time fighter. having said that bowe's defense was **** against everyone

still, the bowe of holy 1 against the douglas of tyson wins 8/10 in my book

    Tokyo Douglas vs. '92/235 Bowe

Great fight, I think Bowe does a little more late in the fight to win by decision or late round stoppage.
