Bowe was the complete package, could punch, could box, inside, outside, had a great chin. I see it similar to the Herbie Hide fight with Haye having some moments early and then losing by stoppage.

Haha, Bowe would kill him. I'd pick a young, motivated Riddick (the one who beat Holy the first time) over every heavy today.

prime bowe is the guy who throw his title in the bin rather than get in the ring with lennox lewis.

as for bowe / haye, well bowe was seriosuly overrated but haye has never proved that he can beat a B level HW (yet..)

Bowe avoided big punchers for a reason. Not saying he didn't have a decent chin, it's just that he often got a case of the jelly legs and a huge puncher would put him away in that state. This is why he refused to fight Lewis.
Haye could KO Bowe, there is no doubt about that, he would have to box carefully to do it and Bowe often left himself open for big punches.

Golota wasnt able to KO Bowe when he was no longer at his best, so how the hell Haye could do this. He couldnt have KO ancient Ruiz (the guy was standing up all the time after rabbit punches). Dunno whats the point of this thread - to measure insanity level?

Prime Bowe beats any of today's heavies, knocks out Haye and Wlad comfortably.

He knocks Haye out that's confortably, Wlad would propably knock him out/stop him late.

Bowe would **** in his pants against Big, skilled, hard punching guy like Wlad.
    Bowe was fearful man.

Bowe was probably one of the biggest disappointments in recent HW history. Mentally very fragile and undoubtedly psychologically troubled. Bowe on a normal night would beat Haye but do not discount Bowe's mental issues. Haye would have a decent chance of scoring an upset against a guy who boxes as sloppy and as highly inconsistently as Bowe.

Bowe is well known of being unable to use his height well, he was boxing toe-to-toe with guys 3 inches shorter than him for no reason whatsoever. That would give up a lot of the physical advantage Bowe has over Haye -- without gaining anything in return for Bowe. Bowe simply boxed stupid, his ring intelligence was certainly nothing to write home about.

Overall, I find Bowe is highly overrated as his claim to fame is battling a former CW in Holyfield in admittedly entertaining fights. Entertaining, but not strategic masterpieces nor an impeccable display of superior heavyweight greatness.

The rest of his career was littered with mediocrity, craftily avoiding both Tyson and Lewis because he knew he couldn't stand the mental pressure of fighting dangerous and skilled boxers and then being exposed by Golota -- a former Polish street fighter and nightclub bouncer! LOL

    Bowe avoided big punchers ?

Bowe fought Bert Cooper, who was knonw as a huge puncher.

He fought Bruce Seldon who stopped 36 opponents in his 40 wins.

Herbie Hide had stopped all of his opponents except 1 (tough bigfoot Martin) going into the Bowe-fight.

Jorge Luis Gonzalez same as Herbie Hide, only 1 opponent lasted the distance with him before Gonzalez fought Bowe.

Golota went into the Bowe fight with only 3 men hearing the final bell.

You cannot really say that Bowe avoided punchers. No way.

Haye announced already he will be retiring soon. And you are talking he hasn't reached his prime? Interesting :think
