I pick Holmes to catch Bowe coming in constantly, Holmnes IMO at his best was much sharper than Bowe. However Bowe does have that big overhand right, a punch Larry is susceptible too.
Bowe KO 12. Ebb and flow on the outside, Bowe eventually landing something big on the inside and a big overhand. I have no problem seeing either man Win a close decision, Larry knew How to survive with one exception. The press conference would be classic.
Holmes by clear UD. Too good, too skilled, and too intelligent for Bowe. Big Daddy definitely has his moments though.
could see a decision either way, either bowe outworks holmes and presses the fight constantly putting pressure on holmes, jabs his way into holmes inside and connects with his right hand. or holmes maintains a constant gap where he can move and not let bowe (who has very underated stamina) let his hands go.
This. I'll add that Holmes will keep it on the outside more easily and consistently than Bowe will keep it close up. In short: Holmes has the better ring generalship and will consistently keep it his fight to lose. Bowe will be the one fighting uphill. Bowe may be able to box with Holmes in spurts, but not consistently.
This would be great, especially over a trilogy of fights. Holmes for me, over three I think Bowe could take one.
Bowe's getting far too much credit here. Holmes easily, maybe by late stoppage. At the very least, he wins an easy decision. Bowe couldn't handle a good jab. I know, Larry had issues with the punch too, but Bowe's attack with the punch wasn't disciplines or consistent enough to trouble Larry too greatly. Look at the difficulty Bowe had with Holyfield's jab (when Holy chose to use it). He had it glued to his face. Holmes had perhaps the best jab in heavyweight history.
Holmes on points, Bowe might have his moments early in fight but Holmes would get his measure and win comfortably.
