Golota and Tubbs are better fighters than Tua technically speaking. Hide is too. Bowe beat Hide one sidedly, knocked him down like 8 times, thats hardly struggling regardless if he got caught by a good shot. He struggled with Golota because he was finished, thats why he retired after those fights even thought he won both.

 

Bowe was much more technically-minded than Tua during his career, and in his "prime" would have outboxed Tua to a late Ko, wheras Tuas always been an inside slugger

 

Bowe either easily out-boxes him from the outside as Tua is incapable of dealing with good jabs & stops him late or he uses the "kill the body & the head will die" strategy to halt Tua in the mid rounds (even feather fisted Byrd hurt Tua with Body punches).

 

He packs a dynamite punch, has a pretty good chin, employs a style which resembles other ATG fighters (Dempsey, Marciano, Patterson, Frazier, Tyson) and his status as ultimate perennial contender suggests that he may not have been a walk in the part for most fighters regardless of their stature. Either way he's the type of fighter that's good to have on your resume.

The defence of bowe was basically taking shots with his face and he is not stopping tua not even with a shot gun. Bowe would not fight smart and cautious like Lewis did, bowe had horrible defence and he would fight dumb and aggressive, he could win out boxing him by points but i am not sure that he would pick this way to fight. Also he did not have the power of lewis so i am not sure that he would have the respect of Tua based on his hitting power

 

Bowe is so much better than Tua. As long as you have a good jab Tuas face is glued to it. Too many people keep ranking Tua off a couple highlight reel KO's. Bowe is all over the lazy Tua who never seems to have a gameplan.
